Wow, so much Jaune-hate it's unbelievable. So he faked his papers, big deal. If that academy can be so easily fooled, then I'm thinking it's not Jaune the problem here.

Ozpins knows, being the borderline Dumbledore he is.
I hate Jaune now for multiple reasons, not just because he faked his papers, his inability to accept he's a ****-up and GROW as a person and rightfully EARN his spot at beacon with help from his friends is the problem. His whole arc (no pun intended) will be nothing but angst and ****ing, and it's just using the same tropes I've seen a million times and they always suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
(Hopefully I know got it all out of me)

You're probably right. It's a story we've seen a million times before and will continue to see a million times more. I don't particularly relish seeing it unfold yet again but I'm not blaming the character for that, I much prefer to blame the writers for their inability to make it interesting.

Let's go over the many things the writers dumped on the character of Jaune:

1) He didn't know what an aura was until around episode 6. Consequently he's never been able to train properly. He's not proficient with the weapons he wields (although he's fairly handy with that shield). He has been basically portrayed as that goofy kid who needs to be saved most of the time. That, in and of itself, is enough baggage. But there's more.

2) We also learn that he faked his papers to get into the academy to live up to his ancestry. So now, not only is he the underdog, he's also an underdog who's not supposed to be there and he's very mindful of that fact. Being made the leader of team JNPR certainly took him by surprise and will only serve to increase the pressure he must be feeling, for he now has to live up to his teammate's expectations as well.

3) To top it off, his personal bully at the academy learns of point 2 and becomes his very own blackmailer. That means we can expect his secret to be out in the near future, probably in a very public manner.

Next to this guy, everyone else has it easy.

He's a scumbag and he deserves everything that happens to him.
I'd say burn him at the stake, but I already gave my piece last page on what I think will happend to Jaune, I hope He Frollos it up into the fiery Beacon.
