The show does need longer episodes, or more of them.

They introduced way too many characters in a season that put together lasts what, an hour or so? They needed to flesh out the main four before going into JNPR or anyone else. So far we really only know things about Ruby and Jaune, a little about Weiss, and not much of anything else.

Well, if the first and last episodes clock in around 11 minutes, and the remaining 14 episodes are 5 minutes each, then you're looking at 97 minutes run time, around a 1h 30m movie.

I agree. They should've done an episode on each character of team RWBY, maybe even a two-parter, while still progressing the main story. They did that a bit with Ruby and Weiss, and certainly with Jaune, but Yang and Blake might as well not exist.

Best Character Yang and Best Daughter Blake should just be shadows like the other extras.
Because, they aren't the most popular characters or anything!

I was going to write it...it unearthed things in me that I should only share with a therapist.
So I'm writing a Group Project (and Vivian and the Christmas special and that Doctor Who trilogy I was doing) called Infestation: Kill all Titans (WiP title) instead.

Given that we're heading into the 14th episode, I'm curious to know what exactly is the main plot insofar as conflict goes.

So far its just day to day slice of life, which is good if its the point like it is with MLP, but even MLP has long goals in some cases and it works perfectly. In MLP's case, we're made aware of what those stories are.

With RWBY, we're still in the dark.

5 chapters into part 1 (Columbias lamb) Though I rarely update. Which is unfortunate as the Finale (Of Gods and Men) will be my Grand Opus.
