Depends on the brain, I mean, they already have better
But if you stick a second pair of functioning ears on your head, you would absolutely get sensory overload, at least at first maybe, you brain could adapt to those new conditions.

If the bow is thick, yeah, probably, but most bows are not made of a thick enough material to significantly stunt hearing.
