Well, I was expecting one of three things: a really poorly done piece of work, or a decent enough piece of work, or a very well done piece of work.

I feel like this falls in between the second and third slots. The only major gripes I have (which aren't even that major) were the length (it felt a bit short in terms of progression) and the animation in less extravogant scenes. The VA work was far better than in the trailers and the episode was a nice pilot that set the stage for the rest of the series. But certain animations were a little wonky and I wish we could have seen the school in this episode. Over all i liked it and will continue to watch with reletively high expectations.

Episodes will usually be shorter than that, just like Red vs Blue.

As for Beacon Academy, well they gotta hook you with something.

Exactly. Pilots are always the least refined episodes as they're essentially just hooks.

So is this releasing weekly? If so, the anticipation may add to the pay off @.@
