But seriously. I can't let this go until I get an answer, since it seems that there is an actual and distinct difference between the two. What is the difference between a season and a volume?
Also, I haven't been a fan of RT for a really long time, so I don't really know how they act. I wouldn't put it past them to torture their audience though.
According to the RWBY wiki-
"List of RWBY episodes by season. There will be sixteen episodes in Volume One, which will cover the first half of the season."
Which is weird, since they've advertised it as the end of the season.

Only until you have annouced when it is coming back and it is maximum of 2 months away.
It works for videogames to give us information a year in advance and accumulate that until release, but you have to keep a certain flow of that too.
