I just looked at a review of the first episode on YouTube and cringed. The fact that he referred to himself as an anime fan made it worse. You think he would understand how things come to be referred to as an English dub.

Anime fans can be quite a stupid and pretentious bunch, like bad wannnabe hipsters. In their head, if it's anime style, it was probably from japan. If it's not, than it automatically sounds better in Japanese than English.
