Strange no one hypothesizes that she's a cyborg or a shut in for most of her life.

Cyborg would feel like cheating tbh, they're basically half way robots anyway. And a shut in could be anything, not dependent on being a robot, psychic, esper, or magic pixie.

I'm focusing more on how her unique weapon works without giving any sort of aura or effect around it, much like how weiss, pyrrha, and juane have when they use their powers.

Sure we have androids, but do you have any idea how difficult it is to make a sentient A.I.?

There is a reason EDI uses the magic of Quantum Computing, and she's based in a rather sizable room of space technology. And she's debatably sentient at that.
