Nobody knows it's jaune arc due to wearing a mask, but there are still flashes of it here and there. He shares an antagonistic relationship with weiss, who is forced to answer to him as he is a representative of the foundation, in a sense.

He calls her snow princess at one point, leading to her horrified realization of what's happened to her friend, compounding her guilt even more for having to work for this organization as a figure head.

BTW this is a fanfic I will most likely avoid. As you can tell, I have enough dark thoughts for a single individual to suffice with.

My mentality for Future RWBY AU is this.
It's always darkest before the dawn.
It get's heavy, but in the end it ends well for whoevers left.

Maybe the dust should be loosing it's power due to the cleric foundation inadvertently tainting in with their actions. Essentially, humanity is becoming imbalanced and embracing darkness, and it's corrupting everything into grimm.

Also a new variant comes about in this turbulent time, more terrifying then anything seen before. Human grimms, capable of infecting and corrupting others, and who have begun to spring up in small numbers on the fringes of remnants territories.
