I just saw it more as Yang being on Blake's side, though she hasn't shown particulary strong feelings one way or another (in this episode). I just assumed that she saw both sides equally, but perhaps she does sympathize with the faunus more.

Same. But I would've just called her an uncaring **** right then and there.
It's obvious Blake had some problems, and the way Weiss was acting wasn't helping.

Meh, it's important to understand Weiss' side too. It's not like the faunus have exactly been kind to her or her loved ones.

Of course.
But Faunus issues aren't what I'd be defending.
I'd be defending Blake. Because regardless of heritage or past. This is still a friend who was having problems.
That's just my mentality.

To be honest, it seems like Blake is the first "good" faunus Weiss has ever met. She seems pretty sheltered, and her opinion of the faunus as a whole is formed by her family's opinion on them.

However, she should of known something was up, as Clones pointed out. However, when has logic ever mattered in emotional issues? (as both sides of the argument seem to be based on)

Yup, not as if you can blame an entire people for the actions of a few, which is exactly what Weiss started to insinuate.

Yang was well within her rights to have that minimalist reaction. I never saw anything wrong with it.

Simply put, she's her friend. And if she's in Beacon, she's probably not White Fang either.

(though it would be a nice plot twist if she was. Those random WF peeps seemed to know and respect her).

Even I wouldn't want to cross that guy, let alone kill someone he cares about.

I was about thinking how someone might gift Blake with Hello Kitty stuff, but then I browsed Youtube and saw some Hello Kitty cartoons ... I am now mentally scarred for life.


Never would I wish such a thing on poor Blake.



In other news, I'm now a dog person. I shall rename myself Canis Dirus henceforth.
