Someone from tumblr that makes things difficult to link to specific posts wrote....

I think I would like the RWBY series a lot more had the characters been a lot less generic…
I mean, the main 4 protagonists act exactly how you’d expect them to…
plus it reminds me of the Haruhi of Melancholy Suzumiya cast or Well, any show that features a cast of 4 people who would not normally group together..

I am bringing this persons arguement against RWBY to mention one thing and one thing alone.

He is right.

However, Monty, Miles, Kerry, and cast have said on repeated occasion that they will seem that way at the start, but then build later into less stereotypical characters.

And I don't think deep character development is a nice thing to ask for in >2 hours of content

Was shorter than what I'm used to.

Had I known that, I would have read it sooner, I got it done in 3 minutes and could have given you advice while you were still awake. Other than the spelling error that Liam pionted out, this is a very solid beginning.

Thanks, yeah like I said, it's the first half of chapter 1 and I'm glad you all liked it.
The lack of Blake comes from it not being her chapter.
The first 4 (Roses, Ice, Shadows, and Fire) are establishment for where Team RWBY are right now.

And Gravy short writings just my thing. I like keeping a fast pace, just my writing style mixed with my attention span. You can blow through my dead Bioshock/Doctor Who fan fics 5 chapters in like 10 minutes.
