It still baffles me that Weiss, who wanted Pyrrha as a teammate, saw Miló, what Weiss knows is Pyrrha's weapon, in Jaune's hood, and walks away. Removing any possibility of teaming up with her.

"Hey, look, it's that blonde dolt from earlier."
"I don't want to team up with him."
"Is that Miló in his hood?"
"Pyrrha will be comming for that."
"Let me take my new imbecile of a teammate and walk the complete opposite way she will be comming"

Fixed that.

And I think Weiss just kinda gave up at that point.
Probably didn't want to get caught trying to find a partner that NOT Ruby or Jaune. Those woods are being watched yo.
