It was thanks to that experience that I learned to avoid the self-insert fanfic section of fandoms.
Love, self-insertion, blood and murder. The four components to MK fanfic. Wouldn't surprise me if there is some RWBY fanfic like that. Also, odes to their favorite characters. Seriously. Like books full of poetry.
Not to say that those people are lesser for doing so, but I really don't get it.

Yeah. That's usually why I don't venture into the fanfic portion of the internet too often. Sometimes you can find some neat ideas, but you have to wade through a loooooooooooot before that.
