I just thought about something. Not only is Jaune's arc the most predictable arc of the series, it is also the most inconsistent. From what Jaune told Pyrrha, he obviously cares about getting into Beacon and becoming the strongest fighter possible, right? Then why was he falling asleep in class a few scenes before that? Furthermore, why would he not even consider the possibility of teaming up with the best one on one fighter (according to the tournaments) in the whole school? Did he need to do something on his own to prove to himself that he can accept help? Does that make any sense?
