I might as well finally post this.

So this is what my mother got me for Christmas...which I have had for just under 3 months now.

Really should've put this up sooner.

And yes I'm aware I could've taken this shot better, but it's hung up in an awkward spot.

Interesting design. Color could use improvement imo but it'll grow on me. Golden metal bits seem weird and pelvic high leggings are a bit Lulz but still pretty cool.

Huh, it is basically a black shirt and blue jeans underneath.

The boob jacket and waist high boots are still weird looking. This is just me and my own perception, but it's like the top half of the costume is copying Tier Harribel from bleach, and the bottom half is copying from Satsuki Kiryuin from Kill la Kill, and she's smart enough to wear something underneath both outfits.

The top jacket was actually fairly common on light infantry units over armor, because it kept out rain but didn't give enough room for the enemy to grab on to it, and they could move stealthily around because it didn't flap around as much.

 

But the leggings, yeah, they're a little weird.

 

And the Blue-gray could have stood to go a little more blue or a little more white, it's sitting in a little gap.

The gold would look normal then.

 

Overall, if they chose that one, out of the 1300+ their were, it says more what her character is like, not because of design choices (that might have a few missteps)

 

Well, as long as they picked the clothing for the girl, not made the girl for the clothing.

I like the design it looks like she is actually wearing armor.

I wish it was more armor then just shoulder pads, but that's just me. Overall, it at least doesn't look sickeningly bright like some of the more vibrant anime-esqe designs.

I'm personally not a huge fan of it, but it's alright I guess.
It's mostly the waist high boots that detract from the design, but that's my own bias.
