Created and directed by Monty Oum, RWBY is the story of four very different girls brought together for one legendary purpose. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang are new students at Beacon Academy, a school designed to train warriors and monster-hunters. Unfortunately, monsters aren't the only threat to the citizens of Vale and before the year is over, the students of Beacon may find that homework is the least of their problems.

Monty has a unique and exciting animation style and the character designs and concept are great very interestig. I just hope that his story is on the same level as his visual offering. And sweet mother of god I hope the voice acting will be better in the final product.

Been vaguely aware of it since the "Red" trailer released. It has strong potential from what I've seen. The premise almost sounds like a darker take on Sailor Moon. So far, so good.

The story behind RWBY is being written by Monty Oum, Kerry Shawcross, and Miles Luna.

I remember watching "Red" a week after 'twas uploaded. The animation and art style still amaze me. Will definitely keep an eye on this thread.

To be fair, the actual Sailor Moon (not the Westernized version) was pretty dark.

But I digress. I do hope this is more on the serious side though. Since it's in the same line up as RvB it'll be nice to see more variety from Rooster Teeth (not to say they aren't already fairly robust in their offerings).

I finished watching the other 3 trailers. "White" and "Black" are my personal top 2. It's too difficult to say how the writing/storyline will turn out at this point, but the visual stylization and action is definitely top-notch. Yang Xiao's Gauntlets almost feel inspired by Mega Man :P Rooster Teeth have a good hold on this so far.

Yang's my favorite. She's voiced by Barbara Dunkelman who's my favorite woman over at Roosterteeth so its no surprise.

Yang's kinda awesome. :3

I really like that concept for some reason. I hope they take advantage of the potential romance sub-plot stemming from the beauty and the beast tale (cause I'm manly and like that kind of stuff).

Also, at this point based solely on superfluous subjectivity, Weiss best girl.

I love Weiss, just the fact that she's a part of a wealthy family, doesn't get to choose how she dresses, but wears her ponytail to the side rather than centered in an act of defiance. Thats boss.
