I'm not sure what Cinder accomplished. Even if Ruby hadn't seen her, knocking out all the guards alerted the military that the comm. tower had been infiltrated. They're sure to check for viruses unless they're totally incompetent.

Either she obtained some very valuable info, or she used the tower to spread her virus across the kingdoms before they could stop it (but they'll still have time to develop a vaccine unless the bad guys main attack is imminent.)

Another possibility is that the virus is a diversion from other mischief they are working on, or a 'calling card' to intimidate the public.

Did anyone else notice that neither Yang nor Ruby were really participating in the party, even though they set up the whole thing? Real people pleasers, they are.

Ruby is socially awkward, and had no real part in setting up the dance.

 

Yang is Yang, I wouldn't be surprised if the episode with her back story is the most amount of screen time we'll get of her in a long time.

Upon reflecting for a moment, you're right. It was an interesting thought, for a moment. Fact is, there isn't too much to talk about right now. I'm hoping that the Cinder plot intensifies closer to the middle of the season as opposed to the end of the season. There's only so many touchy-feely episodes that will keep me entertained, though they aren't making the show for me, so I know my complaints will fall upon deaf ears.

 

Something is missing in this show. Either that or I have a mind that is too fretful.

I'm pretty sure Cinder's plan is to agitate political relations between Vale and Atlas.

 

And I don't think her plans aren't going to progress until later, we will probably get Grimm focus the last few episodes.

 

Personally, I'd save her plan being enacted for Volume 3, and Volume 4 is about a Vale-Atlas conflict.

I like that Ozpin is totally taking on the "wise uncle" role. It suits him quite well. I get the sense that you can't go wrong following his advice.

From what we've seen of all the characters thus far, I could maybe see Lie as perhaps being gay? Unless of course he's just asexual, which would make a lot of sense as well? And I don't know why, but I could see Yang as possibly being bi?

 

Of course, what relevance this would have to do to anything in the series is practically nil? And I don't know why Tumblr would go into Fan Dumb territory and rag on the series for it? For all we know, one of them might be already and we just don't know yet, with it only being revealed by the creators after the series is concluded (like Dumbledore for example).

 

Still, the last episode was awesome, even if the infiltration of the tower could have been done way more stealthily.
