I haven't done it in a while. I still intend to, I just have so many games that I haven't even finished--Majesty, Majesty 2, King's Bounty games, Earth 2160, Kenshi, Bastion, Toerchlight II, Jet Set Radio. And that's just the ones I'm majorly enjoying, I have a dozen more at least that I haven't finished or started that I'm not particularly pumped for, but do want to play.

So a game that I've already played is down the list a bit.

The Citadel DLC is the only reason to play ME3. If you're on the 360 and the 600 MS points for Omega is still on that's worth it as well. Kill Petrovsky for me again. He's an ass. It's a fun romp with Aria. Don't expect much role play. If you're a goody-two-shoes forget it though. You won't enjoy Omega.

Just play through the Coup. Then lock in your LI. Then go straight to the Citadel DLC. Forget the war. Party. End the Citadel DLC and put the game back in the box. The rest of the story sucks.

Your entire second paragraph is subjective.

But anyway, I'm a goody-two shoes and I enjoyed Omega greatly. There's quite a bit of content in there for a goody two-shoes to have fun with.

Thos elevator rides in ME1 remind me of those old "Thunderbirds are Go" puppet animation films from the 60s. Besides the corny marionettes, the one thing that stood out about the movies is the meticulous, mundane details the set designers would do for simply having a scene where a ship landed or a rocket was launched. It'd take like 10 minutes just to watch people getting out of a plane or something. The whole landing sequence would be filmed. They were movies made by the most geeky detailed oriented nerds who like to play with train sets. ME1 had some of this problem too, where the person who designed it was obsessed more with simulation than narrative flow. The elevators are just one problem. A lot of things lacked a good game-y element and were more simulatory -- like the mako.

edit: For the record, Stanley Kubrick, who was a fantastic director, also pulled the same thing with 2001. It was tedious at times. So it's not an insult to the ME team necessarily.. even the greats make odd choices.

But elevators are a great way to have squad banter without possible interference from the world around you (a couple arguing or something)

The only banter I like is when Wrex asks Kaidan if he'd win in a fight with Shepard.

edit: Actually, just Wrex in general :)

The fact that Mass Effect, besides the Witcher, is the only video game series that lets you import characters from previous games and choices you make reflect on the next game (yes they do, whether you want to accept it or not, your choices do somewhat matter). That allows for a lot of replayability, whether you like the endings or not

This week I will finish another trilogy rerun. Call me crazy but this is the only franchise besides Zelda that can keep me interested for years to play.

Ofcourse i am going to replay the trilogy again.
P.S Dragon age and mass effect games are the only games that do this for me.

I'm going to do a replay in a couple months to make a tribute video. I just love how BioWare created such a wonderful universe and I don't know how BioWare created such amazing characters; It's the characters that inspire me to play the game. I did not like the ending, but that is not going to stop me from forgetting about 99% of the rest of the trilogy with all the adventures, laughs, and tears. I'm on this forum because, no matter what negative things I have said, I still care about the franchise and its direction.

ME2 is just a fun atmosphere to revisit, and the team is just badass. I wish at least one of them was a squad member in me3 (one of the me2 specific characters, that is.. Not just Tali or Garrus).

When I do a playthrough of these two though, I don't intend to neglect ME3 either (so long as I make a new character).

Now that is one thing that did ****** me off. Most of the ME2 chars (except for ME1 one: Tali and Garrus) get VERY little face time in ME1. Even if they were/are your LI. Jack, I think gets 2 scenes. Mordin is the only one I thought got anything decent. Maranda comes and goes - you don't really see her until the end (though the apartment scene is ok); Gunt - I LOVED Grunt. Barely get to see him too. Or Samara, Kasu, Zeead, Jacob - all get shafted. In fact, the only char that is with you the whole time is Liara. I'm not a big fan of Liara so I was like, "Yeah. Lovely. Of course you're here. Hi" on Mars.

Liara, "I have to go. My world is being destroyed" I felt like saying "****, Earth's been getting slammed for weeks. Shut the hell up and get your gear on".

Liara gets the most face time. Even more then Garrus.

Anyway I was pissed about all this until I played Citadel.

Dragon Age.

Forgot that one but it's made by Bioware so I don't count it as much.  Plus you don't continue with a character in the second one, and there aren't that many things that matter in the 2nd game from the 1st honestly

ME1= Numerous playthroughs
ME2 = Numerous playthroughs
ME3= 1 playthrough..............

I can look past certain things now like the ending travesty, But ME3 just wasnt fun at all to play, Linear shooting really is all it is, It's an ordeal thinking of playing it let alone actually playing it.

In the middle of another trilogy run, in the first half of ME 2 right now which means I will probably be firing up ME 3 in about a week in a half or so.

ME1: Fourteen playthroughs
ME2: Eleven playthroughs
ME3: Three playthroughs and seven attempts

I have yet to do a full trilogy run. I got through ME, but early in ME2 I decided to stop because I knew everthing would just be repetitive and bore me. ME almost became my favorite series, but the ending ruined the trilogy for me. I cannot play a game that has not replayable.

I haven't played the game in a few months now but that is because I forced myself to stop after 7 trilogy playthroughs in the space of 6 months.

If there was a Darth Shepard Mod for all three games, I would play ME3 just for that.

OP your last sentence is completely subjective. I don't see what is so great about the Fallout games I really don't. I tried to get into Fallout 3 a few years back and I just couldn't get into it. Besides the ME trilogy is the only space RPG of it's kind on the market. Setting is important to me. And space is a much better setting than a post apocloyptic wasteland.

I've either had 2 or 3 complete playthroughs of ME3. I'm leaning toward 2, one b4 the EC and one after.

Had to force myself to finish ME3 this last time. And it will be the last time I play it.

Too much auto-diologue for my taste in what should have been player-controlled response worthy scenes. Often times Shep would say something that was super out of character, especially for a renegade.

Been taking a break from all the ME games for a few months now, but plan on returning soon. Just for a ME3 playthrough before GTA V releases.
