I didn't notice that respec cards existed until about N7-800, xD
And at that point I was used to promoting to try new builds, so I continued for a bit.

The only time I promote nowadays seems to be after drunken play, and waking up to find everything at lvl1. ( like today >.< )
It's inching me towards N7 mastery.

How about everytime you complete a Platinum match with close to 700k total points....lots and lots of experience there.

Flogging however implies you want to methodically hurt someone instead of just beating something. It's express purpose is to inflict pain.


Dead horse doesn't feel pain, hence you'd still just be beating it by definition. No flogging involved.

I never really understood the appeal of promoting. My N7 was at 270 (promoted 5 times for weekend operations) for a long time until the challenge system was introduced, then I snapped and ground out the promotion challenge so I'm now at N7 2070.

OT, I was at 2760 after the challenge, and I swore I would nevre promote again. Then FateNeverStarts talks me into promote to get to N7 3000. It was painful.

I first promoted to just get to 3000 to not have to get any kick votes from lobbies at the time since when the game came out N7 Rank was a big deal. Afterwards I just did it for the challenges. I have never been competitive with the N7 Rank so I dont have a need to continue. Your goal of 20k is cool though. I guess to do it for fun makes sense but I will not do it to be competitive to be on top of the leaderboard as I have no desire to put in that kind of griding anymore. All the gaming I do now is for fun unique builds and games etc.

Yep, when I do a rough adding up of the daily total of points that get wasted after I play.... I want to cry.  The RPG girl in me just finds it so very very wrong.

Been at 2400 for awhile ... seems like a nice round # ... but i'm feeling the need to change some of my kits skill trees ... for whatever reason the thought of using a respec card scares me .. like "I could run out!!" .. considering I haven't used one in 2013, that shouldn't be a problem.

I do admit, rolling exp in packs is annoying .. maybe it's time to make that push for 3000

I stopped promoting for a long time, but for some inexplicable reason I started again mostly maybe to see a different number beside my name and to play around with other kits and go back to lower difficulties for s & g's.. the future I don't know I'm in the 4000's and not chinese so I'll stick around there for a while. I use to get some regular games in with a couple girl gamers one CouncilSpectre had some serious N7 rank like almost 70,000 pretty ridiculous.. she and her partner PrimarkVakkarian left the game in a marathon of platinum matches with the premise being the first scrubbed mission and they were gone never to be heard from again... its was sad like leaving that s-lut Ashley on Virmire.

N7 Mastery; I finished at N7 1920 and no plans to go beyond that, however all those wasted pts....character cards....

...and 1920 is such an untidy number. I may go for more, we'll see.

I never play multiplayer games and wasn't going to play this one except that one of the SP trophies was glitched for me so I had to try MP to get the platinum trophy. Anyway, once I got hooked by the MP, I thought you HAD to promote because of the "war assets" thing. And a little because of the "wasted" XP. But I quickly grew sick of it. Then N7 Mastery came along so I did that. Now I've stopped. For good.

I kept promoting to upset a friend of mine. Now I'm way past him but I keep promoting because I want to get to 10,000. Once I get there, I'll probably stop. Maybe.

Uh, sorry to be the debbie downer, but you probably wont be able to sit at 10K for long ... 10,020 you can sit at, or 9990 you can sit at.

Golden rule is any multiple of 30 plus 120

10,000 is the goal. Going past it is not something I'm concerned with.

early on i got into a promotion war with a couple friends......they gave up at around 2500-3000, once i had them both beat by a good amount i stopped until the banners came out and i promoted for my botb banner
