Why not? It is a free re-spec card for an entire class. Also, I just enjoyed playing low level kits on bronze and silver for a long time. I grew out of this habit by now, I have to admit.

First I promoted for my SP campaign. Then the challenges got introduced and I finished N7 mastery for the banner. Then I promoted to 3000 because it looks good.

1) for the N7 challenge

I only have a few kits that I can run that low of a level on platinum. My human sentinel is one of them that i can occasionally top-board with at that level. That xp payout son!

10055 - Not really interested in going higher but...ehhh....maybe it will be a challenge to rank up more...not sure I want to though...dont see the need for it for me personally. For those who are competitive about it yes but since I am not competitive about the N7 Rank....it doesnt really mean much to me.

N7 3960. Initially, I promoted whenever I needed to re-spec 2 or more kits in a class. Then for N7 Mastery. Stopped after that and now I just burn Reset Cards whenever I want to try new builds. I think I must have used up more than 50 Reset Cards post-Reckoning.

Let me just put it this way, I have yet to see a person who promotes be a trash player, even when playing as a level 11 in a platinum game. And by promote I mean who is N7 10K and up. Around 3K isn't high anymore unless your comparing yourself to the ants. Shyt 20K isn't high, I took a ~4month break and stopped promoting a while back. Be at least 35K if things actually worked.

Within the first few months I decided to promote to a little above 1000. I suspected that if I didn't do this I faced a higher chance of being kicked out of lobbies due to having a much lower rank than others; something that would be more common the longer the game is out.
In some ways I was right. My N7 ranks got a huge boost again when working on the promotions banner (bleh!) and now I no longer must suffer through the process of hitting X on each class.

i never promoted my N7 since my first promotion was in late december of 2012 i think.
i really just enjoy game and teamwork, building up my manifest while helping random pugs on bronze.
like invader, i'm not all about competition with N7 Rank and Challenge Points.

I don't care about promoting, every now and then someone will kick due to my 120 n7 ranking, but will double take at my challenge points...i've also been kicked because of my challenge points as well so..idk.
I play because i enjoy the game and i could care less about promoting and n7 ranks...

I got the N7 banner and then got to a nice round number: 3300
and stopped
I'd consider promoting again because i'm getting a little bored with the game
but the next number that appeals to me is 4200 and that is another 30 promotions
