1st I like how you guys are always saying you listen to your fans, and then do completely the opposite of what your fans keep telling you we want.
Why is it everyone keeps telling you that we want our wardens back, but you won't let us have them? Or how about how you have a lot of Dragon Age fans that don't want to play as a human but that option is being taken away. Keep on alienating your consumers and you aren't going to have a company much longer.
Thats my rant.

I shudder to think of a DA game where Bioware implements every want, need, desire, crazy idea, etc. that is requested on the forums.
Well, you'd have a ghast companion, for one thing.

edit: Divinity 2 had a summonable "creature" that you could put together which worked well.

My Warden is in a short pine box and I'd rather not have him back. He probably smells a little.
No, no, he's not dead, he's just … pining for the fjords.

There, see, he moved!

Which fans? Near as I've ever been able to tell, our fans aren't of a single mind regarding anything... and that's even among the small subset that choose to come to our forums.
Why is it everyone keeps telling you that we want our wardens back, but you won't let us have them?
"Everyone" is not telling us this.
Or how about how you have a lot of Dragon Age fans that don't want to play as a human but that option is being taken away. Keep on alienating your consumers and you aren't going to have a company much longer.
Just to be clear: us listening to what some fans express a desire for isn't going to translate into us always agreeing or even being able to implement those desires. We will, in the end, need to pick a path that accomodates our resources and our own intentions... and we'll take into account what fans express a desire for, even if we can't possibly accommodate everyone.
If someone feels alienated by our choices, then they shouldn't buy the game. That's what being a consumer is all about. If we don't have enough consumers once all that is said and done, we will indeed not have a game or a company for much longer. Thanks for the tip.

it depends on the fan. I don't want a voiced protagonist, but that feature is here to stay. OH WELL<_<Queen Deadite wrote...

As to your second complaint, some fans have a strong desire to NEVER see their Wardens again in future games. DA:O at present allows for a vague epilogue and for the player to write the rest of the Warden's story I their head, making the Warden the player's. Doing otherwise will also alienate certain consumers. Bioware makes certain choices for each new game, none which warrant so much doom and gloom as what they are receiving. IMHO.

The op sounds like an angry 12 year old who hasn't quite grasped the concepts of fact and opinion. Her overuse of the word "everyone" is quite humorous.

I'm a fan and, with respect, you don't speak for me. Nobody can claim "the fans" as a single entity want one particular thing, and it diminishes your argument by trying to do so.
At best, it's true that some people on an internet forum want those things - the Warden as the protagonist and non-human protagonists - but unless you can discern the wishes of the vast majority of DA players who will *never* post here, attempting to hijack them to suit your preoccupations isn't helping your cause.
There are other things to consider, like David said, including that Bioware simply might want to do things their own way. They aren't obliged to listen to anybody here, and assuming that they'll drop everything to respond to every single fan request is fairly presumptuous, even naive.

As for not playing a Elf or other non-human races, you win some you lose some.
