If people want to do it on gold too then it's fine, I'll stand there with them.

Great. Now I'll be in a lusty blood rage for the next half hour.
But no, if there's an easily defendable position, I say use it. It helps us get the most out of this team game. We shouldn't be determining how others play. Imho, one of the developers' biggest mistakes was shutting out defensive playstyles by introducing new enemies with the sole purpose of busting cover and making it difficult to hold down a location.

Those with maxed manifest shouldn't complain about people farming for better weapons. Blame RNG. They will play differently as they unlock better weapons and learn better set-ups. At least they aren't cheating and they have to leave for objectives.
There are plenty of weapons available for those without max manifest still (some even better then UR. I point to shotguns for this, in which most Rares are better the URs) . So this alone should make your comment invalid for the most part. The other part is that even without max manifest, you only lose 25% damage on average with those UR weapons, which can be easily fixed with consumables.
Wanting to max manifest should be there and considered for extended replay value. Thus the rng store does more good then bad for those who love to play this game.
What else to say?;
- patience is a virtue
- wanting something is better then actually having it (proven in this game by those who start over/ask BioWare for manifest reset... and me who will start over eventually too)
- I don't have max manifest and I've learned that cheating towards it is for the much worse. Others should learn this fact too & enjoy what they have in the meantime, as the rest will come in no time if you just learn to have fun in the meantime.

I did this once or twice when I first jumped to Gold, but now that I know what I'm doing a little more, it seems like you're making it harder on the team that way. Two ways for them to swarm you with no exit strategy.
I honestly don't see a lot of players doing this on EcksBawks. Then again, if the lobby is preset to Giant I usually leave. Most decent players I see block the back control tower spawn, because that open space in front of the LZ is a killing field. I think, after Jade and Glacier, it's one of the easiest to control and funnel spawns.
No, you are mistaken. As things get hairy you do have an escape plan, Around the back and down the ladder. Then make a circle back to the LZ and try to make the camp hold as long as possible again.
Works better then the control room, but for the same reason, it's more boring cause it's more mindless.
But if your team is set up right, you should never have to retreat. ie. maybe a descent Jug, that knows how not to go down, stealing all agro and keeping stuff like banshee's/phantoms/etc in check by not letting them pass you, while your team-mates continue stuff like snapcheese & overcheese combos from the safey of being behind the Jugg.

Wrong. It's puts a stop to the learning process. Thus everything is getting stale at an alarming state. Next thing you know you're not playing the game anymore cause it got dull so fast without having to learn anything new.
So yeah, you're getting the least out of this game.
Bottom line is this. If you're not ready for the next difficulty level, you don't have to play it. Playing a game at one's own pace is the way to go, and how I've always been doing it now for quite some time. .. Sure I could play Platinum and I can do for the most part it & make more money too, but I don't think I'm quite ready to play it, so I don't. And making money faster shouldn't be an issue. Simple as that, all my problems are solved.

So when the randoms actually try to do a legit strategy to complete the game, rather than being leechers you critisize? Also if you come across a game that's set to giant, guess what, you can actually run around the map and kill things, you can leave the game, or better yet you can host and then do whatever you want.

Glad to see someone knows what their bloody talking about. I was going to say something similar to this. Such as..
Complaining about a team oriented game that's being played as a team rather than any man for himself, is just selfish.
If you don't like it please leave, I don't need a spoiled little kid on the team and I sure as hell don't want a vocal whiner that's spewing nonsensical dribble from his mouth, If I could I would tell them to go shove it up their arse.

No, I try not to get involved at all, even for things like HVB not working on Venom projectile type weapons. I try hard to shut my mouth and play along. As I've learned pugs for the most part don't want to be tought or hear it. So yeah, even for stuff like Giant, I'll play along sometimes and camp too with my mouth shut. And sometimes I won't mind it, but most times I'm too bored to stick around & leave, with my mouth shut, preferably.... though sometimes I can't resist and say something stupid, lol.
I guess for a startiung point to a neww difficulty level it should be alright? But doing this for much longer should be considered wrong. And by he look of things it seems that people may be doing it for too long, like Firebase White all over again. Which was obviously wrong too & why developers were forced to take action.
I also think that campers are the first to stop playing & the first to complain at rng store... from what I've seen, anyways... plus the hypothesis does seem sound enough to me?... Thus my conclusion is that it does more harm then good for the most part.... Can't see it any other way yet. Even from what was brought up in this topic.

For real. They camped on Giant LZ. On Gold.
I do understand people using special tactics on Platinum (no, not you Box of shame, you're not ok), but on Gold? In pugs?
None of my companions used any equipment, one of them didn't revive and didn't help out during objectives. I had to carry the damn game with my experimental asari adept build.
Not my most fun 30 minutes.

And again, if you're not ready for the next difficulty level, there is not need to hurry it up. Let replay value last out if it need be, it's called good game design. What's with all this rush to complete games ASAP? Are you not having fun playing it? (Well "duh" if you're only camping. Not that hard to figure out).
