Our Men of Spectre Calender comes out soon. It will only feature 6 of us though. 12 months can't contain anymore Epeen than that.Prestacious wrote...

What's your definition of not being a team player?Beerfish wrote...
Why are spectres non team players if they are in a pug group? Why do they take the easy way out of going into solo mode at the 1st sign of trouble? Why do they then blame the pugs for failing when it is their abandonment of the group principle that gets the team in trouble?
There you go, three questions.
I just gave it to you already, taking the easy way out and playing as if it is a solo match as soon as things get the least bit hairy. Using a missle to get the team out of trouble instead of bailign out, letting the team die and then soloing the rest of the wave and then talk about carrying.
It's a far greater challenge to not jump into solo mode, stick with a group even if their strategy is faulty and bail a group out that way. The truly great players I've seen can pull this off. A lot of great soloers can't pull this off.
This is an interesting point. IMO sometimes the BSN definition of 'good' is too rigid. There are several different approaches to being successful at this game.
Sometimes sticking with the team, even when you know they are choosing the more difficult path, is the most rewarding way when it can be pulled off.
I CAN (and many times do) abandom the weaker teammates to their fate, knowing I can clutch the last half of a wave relatively easy, but SOMETIMES supporting them in their moment of need can be quite challenging, and, fun.
And that is the reason I play this game, not for N7 or CP or huge scores, but to have fun

What question? If it's the dying so much thing, have you ever stepped on your own E-Peen? That's usually enough to bring me down for a few moments.
What place does a quality question/debate like that have in a thread like this, Caldari?
Srsly... is a good debate topic... bring it to a group?

Did I really die so much?
Lag.
But yeah, I die much more than other players do. So long as I take enough enemies to the grave with me, I'm ok with that.
And don't tell me lag is every Spectre's excuse. I invented it.
Yeah, but I lag. A LOT
Besides, I'm no spectre. I'm just in the group to run some of their challenges and have fun doing that. Something I almost never do anyway.

Well, let's say I'd rather stick to the old definition of spectre

Teammates only get my Drells killed, by random enemy grenades or screen shakes that mess up my killshots. For objectives like devices I would much prefer to solo a wave and kite enemies instead of having a clusterf*** around the objective, PUGS keep letting Brutes charge the person doing the objective.
You are not a truly elite player in that case. As I said, you worry about others messing up your abilities and making objectives tough. Instead of working with the players and tactics you are given and rising above them you run away, hopefully the pugs all get killed so you can kite and play solo. One major reason why a pug group will fail? The best player in the group runs for the hills. lets them get devasted and then plays hero soloing.
Hmm? I like my teammates to stay alive. It's easier to have someone else absorbing the punishment or chiping in on the damage. I always try to keep them alive. Who are these spectres that everybody keeps running into BTW?
N7Didacus, cato_84, ToLazy4Name, TMB903, xain88
uh, well these are just the ones I've played with anyway (still haven't played with cato tho)

If I say over the mic an objective is too damn hot and we need to kite or get your ass out of the LZ because you're going to die, I have fulfilled my obligation to those that couldn't figure that out on their own.
