Ok so I've looked at this video to write a proper response...
The "informative commentary" was 20 minutes not 30. 90% of this video was just for epeen purposes showing how you used no consumables in a platinum solo. You even stated around the 18 minute mark that you did this mostly for the challenge than anything else. Around the 19 minute mark you reaffirmed that this was for show by saying "I did this to have it under my belt so good job to me".
As someone who created successful platinum solo guides in the past I can honestly say that this video hardly makes the cut of a "How to solo platinum guide". Sure the info you provided was good but not enough to truly connect with people more proned to make mistakes. There's to much pro play in this vid if you catch my drift. You didn't do much step by step wave, enemy, objective live breakdowns but simply and briefly explain points here and there. This video fits perfectly in the achievments category rather than a guide category. It's a good video for "oh look at what I've done" purposes but hardly a proper guide...

I did explain even in the body of this thread that (as most of the guides I do) its about the tactics and strategies explained. This video was representing the safer approach of handling two enemies at a time for greater success. I had detailed this in the Gold solo vid and represented it here as well and vocalized/written it here and in the video. In matter of fact even the subject of this thread reads "TIPS, TACTICS and STRATEGIES". I dont believe the viewer needs an hour and twenty minutes of live commentary to be told the tactics. It may actually seem repetitive for most.
As to wave to wave guides I am creating separate guides per faction that will not need to take more than 10-15 minutes to detail which should be a help for soloers for sure. This, just as the Gold guide were about representing the tactics and strategies as well. It was definitely a challenge request too but as most of the gameplay I post up I prefer to detail and reveal the things that allowed me to do what I did.
As to having this under my belt, yes this was also a challenge request too. This was also a happy moment for me as well to see that the tactics described worked precisely as they should and it proved to me that I could recommend this to the viewer and represent it in this vid as well. If you view the entire solo I represent this tactic the entire way non stop. Meaning that if this was just for show I would have broken off that tactic and done this kind of solo differently, faster, killed more than 2 boss enemies at a time, used rockets etc etc etc and so forth.
As to the too much pro play...I dont understand that comment at all. Handling two enemies at a time is probably the very opposite. This was probably the most non-aggresive solo I have done and the time it took to do also represents that. Again, representing the tactic and strategy.
In regards to the epeen comments and your assumptions of things I wont go too much into that as its coming from you. Meaning that a lot of your posts seem to be just that so its .....weird reading reading that comment from a person who's posts are mostly epeen driven or troll bait (mening if you do a serch on all of your posts you will find this as being the higher percentage of things posted). Thats all perspective and relative. Meaning its your point of view and opinon.
Personally though I do think you can probably provide good insight into soloing for sure, It seems your comment was mostly focused on the live comm portion as I was more focused on the tactics, again as I had detailed on every part of this forum thread, video, commentary etc.
The overall goal with these guides are for gamers to be able to solo with ALL characters by providing them the tactics and strategies that will help them do this and not create a "one size fits all" mentality. We see this for example when it comes to Gold solo's. People mostly say...oh Kroguard Reegar combo...... "one size". With the tactics and strategies it should help them solo with anyone. I have already begun receiving messages exactly like that as comments on my vids, pm's, forum messages etc and I am glad that is the case as this game is a lot more fun when played outside the "one size fits all" mindset.
