So I finally finished Dragon Age Origins, and now I'm getting geared up for 2. I hear that they revamped the combat system, which I'm looking forward to greatly (DA:O got tedious to the point where I fell back on Storm of the Century for everything I couldn't be arsed to fight).
Here's my question - who are the most obnoxious teammates and what class should I pick so I can have a balanced team while still ignoring them?
In DA:O, I couldn't stand Morrigan's "I did it for the evulz" attitude, and knew that Wynne wasn't going to be much better, so I played a mage. And thanks to that, I got to hang out with all the fun melee characters without having to worry about getting ganked due to not having any magic support. And I know for a fact that in 2, there are certain characters that only show up if you are/aren't a mage.
So, which team mates are the worst, and what class are they so I can plan accordingly?

I can't predict what characters you will or won't dislike. Your definition of "obnoxius" is pretty vague, as you paint both Morrigan and Wynne with the same brush.
Virtually everyone on this forum has something nasty to say about one of DA2's companions. Fenris is whiny. Anders won't shut up about mages. Isabela is a skank. Aveline is dull. Merrill is an airhead. Sebastian is too religious. And so it goes. About the only party member that seems to be universally tolerated is Varric, the ranged dwarven rogue, and even he has his detractors.
My suggestion? If you like hanging out with melee fighters, make a mage. You need a mix of classes in your party to pull off Cross-Class Combos, which are crucial to survive most fights.

Also, their disposition towards your PC depends on his/her class and actions. For example, Fenris will be more antagonistic if you play a mage (or support them).

You have two at least decent choices for every role except healing magic (which Merrill is locked out from completely), so that might be your best option here.

I'd say healer mage as well, since you might find Anders obnoxious with his constant complaining about injustice to mages.

Plus, if you play a mage, one of the characters you seemed to have been hinted about (that is available depending on your class), has often been described as obnoxious. So, role a mage.....or do what you want.
