I have an old thread on this but I don't want to get accused of necroing a thread so I will start up this new thread.  So after taking a break from ME for a few weeks I am starting to get back to it and back to working on my male rutheless eartborn renegade soldier.  Yesterday he executed Balak above Terra Nova, killed the warlord that Hackett asked him to "negotiate" with and recovered a data module for the alliance that some pyjacks go into.


ALSO THIS THREAD IS NOT ASKING WHAT YOU DID IN ANOTHER GAME THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MASS EFFECT.  IT IS NOT ASKING FOR A CRITIQUE OF THE SERIES.  AND IT IS NOT FOR YOU IF YOU ARE NOT PLAYING THE GAMES.  THIS IS FOR PEOPLE ACTUALY PLAYING THE GAMES AND IT IS ASKING WHAT THEY DID IN THE GAME WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE GAME.  SO NO SMARTASS REMARKS ABOUT HOW YOU LOOKED AT THE DISC AND PUT IT AWAY OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.  THIS GOES DOUBLE FOR YOUR FOOLS WITH YOUR CUSTOM AVATARS, YOUR LITTLE BANNERS WITH YOUR SLOGANS, AND YOUR ANNOYING LITTLE MEMES.  IF YOU ARE A HATER LOOKING TO CAUSE TROUBLE THEN STAY OUT!!

It's funny how this series burns me out on one hand, but the itch to play always seems to eventually come back.


I actually did a restart in ME2 today, because 90% or so paragon isn't enough to diffuse the Miranda/Jack confrontation. I gasped. I want happy crew.

Played a section of Mass Effect.

I am playing for the very first time with a Femshep after almost 5 years playing exclusively as Maleshep. Her name is Constance Shepard. She is Earthborn/War Hero and sports an ugly scar on the right side of her face. I like her face.

She is playing as a Vanguard as opposed to my preferred Infiltrator and is romancing Liara. I have just completed removing the Rachni Nest from Planet X after helping Alliance Marines defend their base (Sorry - can't remember the name of the Planet)

I am finding the interactions strange though liking Jennifer Hale's voice acting. And wondering if I could seriously bring my long-term bromance to an end in ME2  by actually hooking up with Garrus.

I know. It never gets old.

I find that the requirements to get that little dispute resolved so that both are loyal for the Suicide Mission are crazy. I always do Jack or Miranda's mission last.

Yeah it happens to me as well.  I think after doing a playthrough of the entire trilogy I get exhausted because I am so invested in that particular Shepard and their version of the ME story.  So for me I like to take breaks between trilogy playthroughs, and then when I start up again I do it with a completely different Shepard (different gender, different class, different background, and different alignment)

Found out Kai Lame does not like my Dark Channel Sentinel. That thing works fast on his shield. He's quickly screaming about having to recharge. I yelled at Joker -- note: Shepard nearly died on that mission and Joker is cracking an idiotic joke like that. Three games I have to wait to do that.

Yes they are making it, time to move on from Mass Effect.

Anyway, I just been modding ME3 and now have all kinds of MP only powers in single player.

I did the Firewalker missions in ME2. I forgot I hated them. I don't think I'll ever do them again, and just skip to Overlord.

I nuked 3 YMIR Mechs with 1 shot from the Cain launcher. It's that one quest you get as a reward for helping Aria in ME2 where you go to a hidden cache and Eclipse try to destroy it with the 3 Mechs before you can get the loot.

The Cain instantly killed all of the Mechs and despite a lot of collateral damage, the mission registered as 20/20 Crates saved. Hell yeah.

Installed MEHEM and ran it from where Shepard gets up after being hit with the beam. I know there are a few other parts it changes before that, but I just wanted to see the ending without having to start back at Cronos. Also started a NG+ in ME3 with my first customized male Shepard. I have only used the default appearance for him until now , mostly 'cause I'm lazy but also because I like it. Jury is still out on the new guy's look.

8 always seems to be the magic number for me.


So far today I completed the IFF mission. Husks are the worst, and this is always my toughest mission in ME2. Tali's drone really helped as distraction. I think think this is the first time I brought her on this mission. Zaeed's inferno grenades also came in handy, along with my max incinerate. Still, 2 deaths though. Scion/husk combo is worst in my experience.

Yeah, Tali's the best squadmate for that mission. Not that it matters, since I always take Tali with me.

The flamer is great for that mission. Kill all the husks and take out the scions with the Widow.

Today i did nothing. I haven't played ME in some time, with new work stuff popping up, and most importantly, Planetside 2.

The last thing i did however was rolling a whole new Shepard to play the entire trilogy, which i may well do in the relatively near future.
Ray Shepard: Paragade, Assault Rifle Engineer, Earthborn and War Hero. 

I made him young, handsome, dark-skinned, bald, with green eyes and a little goatee (the "I" shaped beard on the chin).
His neutral face is ANGRY so imagine how angry he looks when he makes an angry face >(((

Destroyed the Collector base. I saved Shadow Broker and Arrival for later. Shepard will unfortunately have to face Liara after pulling a swerve in the end and got Jack in the sack. I needed to do something different in this mini 2-3 playthrough.
