Two nights ago I finished my third playthrough of the trilogy, this time on insanity. And I was a beast! I've been playing the MP actively and after all that vigorous training shooting through the SP campaign was a breeze. Too much of a breeze in fact. And Venom shotgun (with disruptor or incendiary Ammo) is just so ridiculously over powered. My Shepard just ran through the enemies, made some awesome combat rolls with adrealine rush on, fired concussive shots, threw granades, used her decoy to fool the petty fools. Good times.

Needs more challenge though!

Next I'll continue my fourth playthrough with my paragon maleShep. He's currently working on Lair of the Shadow Broker and getting ready to start ME3. Awesometimes!

Fought some mercs looking for Willem's (sp?) missing brother and found that they murdered him after I slaughtered the mercs. Then destroyed three Cerberus bases after found Admiral Kohuku's corpse in the third base. Avenged him by taking out a key Cerberus facility in the same star cluster.

When I saw that you were using the Venom I thought, "Pfft.  Noob.<_<"  Try with non-DLC weapons like the Mattock, Phaeston, Eviserator, Wraith, Claymore, Viper, etc. THEN decide how easy ME3 insanity is...

Granted it doesn't compete with ME1 and ME2 insanity but still, it shouldn't be incredibly easy.

I surpised myself and blew up the CB on my latest run through ME2, was planning on saving it but as I was playing a Jackmancer it didn't feel right. Then I visited Liara and helped her take down the SB, halfway through Overlord at the moment and will play Arrival for a late night ME3 import. Will play to Grissom to reunite with Jack then call it a night.

Using a gun that is part of the game is not n00bish (Acolyte on the MP = not n00b). It's not my fault the gun is so overpowered. I blame Bioware (and I did actually ask for a nerf when the DLC was released if I remember correctly).

And I can do my next Paragon-adept playthrough with a phalanx on insanity. Because it fits the colors of my Shepard. There.

Aside from that, it also helps to break the habit of constantly calling up the power wheel when you're a little overwhelmed.

That's so true! It also has made me more inclined to revive my fallen teammates. :D

I gave Tali the Reegar Carbine. Big mistake, squadmates apparently don't know, that the Reegar is only effective at short range. She's a lot better with the M-11 and the Raider.

I always found it more fitting to give her the geth plasma shotgun, as a leftover from the Cerberus days on the Normandy.

Finish a ME1 playthrought and started a new ME2 one. And I was remembering how playing ME2 is like playing perfection.

That game is glory and greatness in gaming form.

I spent some quality time with everyone in the Citadel DLC so far. Later today will be the party and the goodbye.

I finished my first playthrough of the Citadel dlc and turned the console off after the last scene felling very sad in a bittersweet sort of way. I wish we knew what was going on with the next game as it would help to alleviate some of my angst. Just knowing that it'd be a direct sequel, that familiar characters would make a cameo would be helpful right about now.

It's hard to explain but there has always been one more thing to do in Mass Effect for the last five years, yet now it's over. I'm feeling like I have now gained 100% Achievement completion and it could very well be the last time I ever unlock an achievement in Mass Effect as we know it before it becomes a MMO or FPS. It appears that it is the last time I'll ever unlock one as Shepard.

On a positive note, I really enjoyed it. Zaeed was a standout laugh for me in his scenes and I warmed to Traynor more than I thought I would.

Today I discovered that while the Lazarus Project may have revived Shepard, he didn't come back intact. He couldn't beat the LOKI mechs in the prologue.

It's not really Shepard with the problem, of course. I'm playing on my backup rig, which turns out to run ME1 fine but can't run ME2. An x1300 doesn't cut it anymore; 8 FPS !

Guess I need to pick up some cheap video solution. I don't want to do a real upgrade until I know what the DAI sysreqs will be. Any suggestions?

Even with the muddy plot, cookie-cutter corridor gameplay I have to agree, ME2 is a sublime experience. A real treat for a Renegade playthrough as well.

Going to do a genophage arc tonight w/Wrex. Haven't decided whether I will cure (then go control/sync) or sabotage (destroy). I'll delay that decision until Bakara prompts me on the Tonka.

finished the dreadnought mission. With all the playthroughs I have, it was the first time I used Liara and Ashley together on that mission.

I also saved Koris.

Tomorrow I will flip a coin in choosing to save the Geth or Quarians.

Why not just go by war assets?

Realised that ME1 Insanity with a level 1 Vanguard just wasn't going to fly, so I deleted six hours of progress and started again with an imported level 59.

Since I can't BUY war assets, I will just use the ones I already have(enough for the breath scene)

And thank you for helping me decide on the fate of the Geth and Quarians. The Quarians will be exterminated and the Geth will get fried in the destroy ending.Image IPB

Cured the 'phage. Guess it'll be green eyes for all once I meet the Catalyst, unless Jack can convince me otherwise. I'm looking forward to her Citadel content, the reunion at Grissom and the date at Purgatory were both very good.

Stared blankly at the star brat lightly whispered obscenities.
