I am playing a level 11 Arcane warrior. He has the Armor mod for AW (its blue and white), and is armed with the Sword of Greyskull and the shield of Bulwark.
He is in the town of Haven, and everytime he gets attacked he is knocked on his butt.
A couple of the cultists swing at him, down on his butt he goes.
He gets hit with an arrow, down on his butt he goes.
Is there something wrong with my character?
I tried to build all the attributes to accomodate weapons, armor etc.
I have read all over the net how the Arcane Warrior is so easy to play, but its getting frustrated with him getting knocked down all the time.
Now I will say, he has not lost a battle, just seems to have to fight while on his back.
Our party is made up of just the Arcane Warrior and Leliana.
Am I doing something wrong with this AW ?

For starters, you're going into a fight without a spirit healer. No matter what spec you are, that is a problem.
As for the knockdowns from literally any damage, I have no idea. I'm pretty sure that's a bug; I've never experienced that no matter what I've done or heard anything like it.

I thought arrows could only pin or stun. Never heard of it knocking down someone. But getting knocked down due to a warrior's pommel strike or say shield bash makes sense, as you are playing a mage and I guess it's safe to assume his physical resistance is pretty low. However, at level 14 you can pick Shimmering Shield which you can keep sustained for a massive 75 bonus to physical resistance, meaning you'd be virtually immune to all negative effects that undergo a physical resistance check.
If that doesn't work, then may be it's a bug as Riverdaleswhiteflash mentioned.

I get knocked down and stunned quite often,
but unlike any other build it also dont matter much, it just takes more time.
The arrow stun is the most annoying, and there is a crapload of archers in heaven,
but you can help up this a lot by equipping with whatever gear you can find that has +dex,
before activating arcane shield, and you should also gradually increase your base dex to about 30
in the end, awakening will want 40.
lv 11 for heaven if low, very low, i suggest doing mage tower, redcliffe, and brecilian forrest first,
the tower will give you lots of attribute points,
and keep an eye on this guide while doing it, and if you click really fast on a fountain you can get more than 1 attribute per fountain, especially if you make a quicksave and start clickin while saving.

So: get outta there and do other stuff first, so you are at least lv 16 or more,
i would easily do tower & redcliffe first, and also get a mod for faster experience,
otherwise you will not reach max lv before the end

Tombs of the dead is an awesome mod with more fights than any DLC,
and tuff monsters so it gives exp on top of out-classing any DLC, if you like fighting.
