So why do Praetorians get a hit-scan power bubble?

But the Collectors have been available since Retaliation DLC which was 9 months ago, why were you so afraid of them for so long?

 

I'm not afraid of any faction. I can solo Platinum with any of them. 

At first I didn't play them out of principle, because they took half the damage from explosions, now I find them boring. Bullet sponges, ass-laz0rs and seeker swarms.

Mostly because of no dodge in ME2.

hey Air Quoutes to answer your question, i think the developers WANTED for the player to have a sort of risk for using any powers (including hitscan) on a praetorians, just get in close... force them to land to use powers (you probably know that) but also if you keep the right amount of distance to the already landed praetorian while retreating, then you can make said praetorian stay in walk mode for a very long time allowing you to eph his behind up with powers.

Yeah, I know. 1 vs 1 it's not very hard, but that rarely happens. Most often you have 2 + Scions, Troopers, Captains, A-Bombs, Seekers everywhere. You can't waste time with 1 Praetorian for more then 10 seconds or you get swarmed. 

Plus activating the bubble is too easy. Say, I cast Dark Channel on a Praetorian and leave it to die, while I kill other enemies. A teamate throws a grenade anywhere near it or casts an overload on a Captain which bounces to a Praetorian and that's it - my DC is gone and I have to re-cast it. 

There's basically no way avoiding it in PUGS.

You have to EXPECT that. in that case i do have advice, make sure your gun have extra penetration to double hit a boss if applicable if  teamates forces boses to put up blocks, at least your weapon double benefits

As I said - I find them boring. Stupid PUGS ruin things too. It's always a cluster**** with them and I get 15 revives by wave 8.

I am a Super heavyweight and he is a Pinweight compared to me. I am always ready for good competition but I have a nice feeling I will be carrying his ass in the Thunderdome instead of competing with him. :sick:

See, that's why I find them boring. Everything is based on pure guns vs Collectors. More DPS, more piercing. Casters get a middle finger.
