If only, if only. The real issue is that Washington state privatized liquor sales which drove prices up like crazy, especially on scotch. Most increased around 50-60 % before tax compared to previous with tax prices but some saw more than a 125% increase before tax. Now I have to go to Oregon or Idaho to get decent prices.
