Here's what's going on. We have a lot of very powerless, very helpless people in this thread. As we are all in regards to Mass Effect. We're at the mercy of whatever the developers do. Basically, they have us by the balls, including myself. Don't they?

No they don't. It's in fact the opposite. We have BioWare by  the balls if we actually started to talk with out wallets and simply refused to buy their crappy games, instead of being dumb blind fanboys who blindly pre-order and buy everything BioWare poops out, only to complain about t later.

I haven't bought a single piece of DLC from ME3, I refuse to pre-order DA3 and I'm certainly not going to buy any future BioWare games until I'm certain it's actually worth my time and money.

Either BioWare makes good games and they'll get my money, or they'll continue to f*ck up which means I'll continue to NOT buy their products.

More people should act this way. That way we could have BioWare by the balls.

I'm geniunely curious...You're posting on this forum so clearly you bought ME3. My question is why didn't you practice what you're preaching now? Going by the OP, it seems like you hated ME2.

Really? Is that why you wrote your post fantasizing about a revolution of purchasing games, with your own experiences posted proudly as examples? It's very clear that whoever wrote that is a person clumsily grasping for power.

"I'll continue to NOT buy their products."

"That way we could have BioWare by the balls."

I'm in control. BioWare will listen to my wallet. I'm powerful. I'm powerful. I'm powerful.

Because I was not always as smart as I am now. People learn from their mistakes. At least I do.

Am I the only person here who both acknowledges the many flaws of ME2/3 but still enjoys both immensely?

Say it enough times and it might become true, right? Or maybe people will see your own examples and join your little revolution? That's clearly what you want.

Sure, I can buy that (no pun intended). I think the point I'm getting at is that most people don't buy games thinking that they'll end up being crap. You must have believed that ME3 was going to rectify the mistakes you think they made with ME2. I think being optimistic about something you love is not as dumb as you make it sound.

Well, I still enjoy the ME3 multiplayer from time to time.

The ME3 gameplay is solid and the multiplayer is easily the best part of ME3. I still like to play it with friends from time to time.

Well as I said, I did have low hopes for ME3, but I still had hope, sure, I'll admit that much.

I mainly bought ME3 for two reasons:

1) I still considered myself a Mass Effect fan at that time, although a cautious fan who was aware of the many flaws in ME2.

2) I don't like leaving a story or trilogy unfinished. When I start with something, I finish it, even if it becomes complete crap halfway through. That's just how I am.

I played through 7 times just so I can comprehend the entire magnitude of mediocrity that is Mass Effect.

Think it's common knowledge that Mass effect 3 is a truly great game up to Cronos Station, where it all goes gaga.

Throwing my weight behind this sentiment as well!

That said, Thanks, OP, for bringing this up; it's funny because I recently played through the whole trilogy for the first time and felt really confused by ME2! My Shepard acted way out of character, and I also laughed at the giant baby at the end of the game lol I did feel as ME3 brought things back to "normal." So for me, in terms of enjoyment, it is ME3 > ME1 < ME2, but hey, everyone is going to have a different opinion about this :)

you can kind of understand that cerberus became in.tri9n8ed - so really that wasnt the killer for me.  Everything after cronos tho is just one big mindfk.  I suppose that was the point.

Nobody would ever spend 16 months on a forum because they lost 60 dollars. They would waste their life away complaining about a traffic ticket.

They would if complaining on forums is all you can do because of extremely exploitative terms of service (if you ****** of Gabe you can wave $100s of steam games goodbye)
