Don't bother, OP. When ME2 came out, tons of people were all like "omg u guys, Mass Effect is DEAD to me!" because it didn't have an inventory or any vehicle sections. Then ME3 comes out, and suddenly, ME2 is the most flawless game ever made. Silly silly people.

For once, Brovikk actually speaks the truth. Heh, I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day.

To say that something was "perfect" based on a "triumphant" ending....well, that's just ridiculous lol

Besides: Saving the Galaxy > Blowing up a base

Keeping the base + ruling over the galaxy > blowing up the base + saving the galaxy. B)

my neoliberalist constructivist altruism coming out.

Seriously?

Do you even know what that is? I'll give you an internet cookie if you can tell me what I'm saying in relation to actual politcal theory in foreign policy. (I'm kind of a nerd about politics. I have a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations.)

I don't make threads very often,

but when I do, they're super popular.

I consider myself a liberalist, but neolibralism? Dafuq? That's new to me. What is neoliberalism? Sounds like a goddamn hippie movement to me.

It did, but the complete and "refined" version of the game was released in 2012.

It's a political theory in foreign relations between State Powers.

There are two other primary theories in this regard: neorealism (you can just call it the Realist standpoint, same with liberal), and constructivism.

I actually edited several of the entries on wikipedia for this. Don't worry, I'm not doing what David does on TV Tropes for Mass Effect.

This is predominantly factual. It's meant to be basically informative of all encompassing viewpoints as well as the base theory. I'm writing my Master's Thesis on this topic: http://en.wikipedia....elations_theory

I myself fall under a more progressively constructivist mindset. It's based on liberalism of course. I take a few realist stances on several matters however.

Massively is the epitome for everything that hippies aren't.

Neoliberalism is basically the belief, that states should focus on absolute gains.

Neoliberalism is basically belief in a free market.

Incorrect. Please educate yourself before you try to talk about this.

Neoliberalism in the relation to the International Relations Theory is the belief the Sovereign Powers should base their policy on cooperation and mutual benefit in pursuit of interests, rather than the relative advancement theory mindset of Realism.

I know what neoliberalism is, at first I thought you meant the Economic Theory by the same name. The International Relations Theory is quite uncommon, I was merely surprised to come by it here.

No, I'm not a hippie by the way, but I'm not some hawk in the pentagon with a nuclear boner if that's what you think.

ME3 is clearly superior to that POS ME2. Not only because of more RPG elements but it handles imports better and actually has a story that's also tied to the overarching one.

It's fairly uncommon to hear anything in US media about different IR theories. But I don't understand how Heretic_Hanar has managed to avoid hearing about economic neoliberalism.

I'm not from the USA and I couldn't give two f**ks about American politics (I barely care enough to investigate the politics of my own country). So yeah, that's how.

That about covers it.
