Considering the debacle of DA2 was caused by rushing.... Nope.

I'm glad they take time. I was a bit worried when the game released so early while they developed for so many systems. If the game turns out great, then they should take as long as they need. I want this game to success, so I'm happy that they decide to release it next year.

Considering the state of DA2 when it shipped? Yeah. Hell take until the end of 2015 if you have to. Just make a damn good game again.

@OP:
Why the hell would I be upset by the DAI team taking more time to finish their game? I appreciate it in fact. I just hope that the reason isn't some disaster they have to get around.

If it means the DA 3 avatar uploader provides higher resolution than the one in DA 2, then they can take all the time they want. ;D

It really comes off as announcing it too soon when it won't be released for at least another year and change. If we get some concrete information along the way that would be nice, but if it's just going to be "release one vague trailer and nothing else until 2014" it's going to be a little irritating.

If I'm being completely honest I'm more "Vague interest" than anything else.

Not really no. If BioWare use this extra time to polish the game, I can wait happily, even for few more years. Would you rather a rush crappy game like DA 2?

Dragon Age 2 could have really used an extra year or two of development. Bioware made the right choice in extending Inquisition's development time.

Only if they are just using the extra time to make preorder and day 1 DLC and similar offputting stuff.

Why are the simple-minded still stating the longer the wait time the better the game . I don't wanna wait that long for a frigging video game ! Look at what happen to the Final Fastasy's games. The wait time could be 5 ,6,or 10 years and the game could still suck . And I am sure that people will still find something that they don't like/hate about DA3 ..nit-picking little s***s that they are.<_<

Bioware deserves better fans..

Nah. You get the fans that you deserve.

God knows those "Here's a few items to make the game easier for an hour or so and then they're vendor trash" items are vital to the experience.

They're vital to securing an early purchase from me.

Well I know how you feel. DA: Inquisition has been in development for almost 4 years now. I am a bit sad I have to wait longer, but if it means I'll get a better game I'll wait. I also think Bioware should have announced Inquisition a bit later. I was officially announced in 2011, which in my opinion, was a bit early.

I was disappointed when I first saw 'Fall 2014' on the trailer, to be honest, because I was really hoping it would come out this fall. But it's not the end of the world, and they have mentioned somewhere on this forum that the game is not finished yet and that is why they needed more time. Exactly what kind of work they're doing on the game is not known, nor is it really anything we need to know.

I very much doubt they're sitting on the fence for a year with a finished game, that wouldn't make sense at all financially (and businesses exist to make money). If the game was pretty much done they would not delay it by a full year. It's entirelly possible that whatever work they are doing is something some fans would deem unimportant if they did tell us what they're doing, but it's probably not unimportant to them. An extra year means the game costs more money, and they wouldn't increase the cost of development unless they had good reasons for it.

Well, I'm glad they are taking their time to do it. I don't want a rush job like DA2.

The sad part is that this extra time is going to be used for improving features that I do not particularly like, so...

As far as I know, the only official information has been fall 2014. The rest was fan speculation.

"Late 2013" was official.  As in, it was in the press release that announced the game

When I saw the advert a
while back now I felt a little down to be honest. First it was said they were
aiming to bring it out at the end of 2013 then there where roomers it would
come out of the BEGINNING of 2014 but now it's at the end of 2014? People did say they
may stall for the new console but doesn't that come out of the beginning of
next year? So why wait another year to be released? I personally have been waiting
a long time already and now I have to wait another year. If they still need to work and improve on it, then far enough if they are making improvements. But
if the game is complete and finished why do we have to wait so long?

Anyone
else feeling upset over this? :crying:

No not at all, we want something really cool dont we?:)

If it was my call, the game would have been released yesterday, it would be awesome, bug free and 100 hours long. But that's not gonna happen, is it?

Let's see, they're making a game for 5 different systems (since the new consoles are not backwards compatible I am counting 2 for Xbox and 2 for Playstation) so I can't really say I'm disappointed. That's a lot of extra testing and programming to make sure the game is pretty consistent across the board, add to that the whole save/import issue across 5 platforms I'd say they have their hands full. To be honest I actually wondered if even the end of 2013 might be too early.

Our society is geared heavily to instant gratification and this is not always a good thing. I am cautiously optimistic that DA: Inquisition will be a good game and even though a part of me wants it now overall I am happy to wait. Currently I'm beta testing a mod for DAO, playing a little Skyrim, other stuff, and I still have the new Lara Croft Tomb Raider and Kingdoms of Amalur to play. Oh yeah, and real life. (LOL)

Personally i don't care, How long they take time to finish DAI, If Bioware have more time to create enough, This game will be turn out better and better. But i can understand, Why somebody upset. Because we doesn't know to much about this game. They are worry about, tactic companion
and storyline. But i think when the right time has come, Bioware will release information and
let 's us know what we expect from DAI. And then we are all in peace *-*.
I think they want to make sure DAI had a greate game and don't want to make us disappoint.
That should be a good new for us.
