I am hoping in Dragon Age Inquisition that Bioware creates a better Creation Mode because the ones from the Mass Effect Trilogy were just plain bad and no matter how much time you put into creating and tweaking your Custom Shepard they just never felt like they belong in the game compared to the other Characters in Game.

And another thing whats up with the terrible Face Presets seriously Bioware they are just plain bad you could have at least created more unique and appealing Face Presets than the Bland ones in the Mass Effect Trilogy.

Which is why myself and most of my friends that play Mass Effect all use Default Shepard "Sheploo" instead of making Custom Shepards because no matter how much we try our Custom Shepards don't seem like the should be there.

Now The Creation Modes for Dragon age Origins and Dragon Age 2 were better at least but still they did not really deliver a really complete Creation Mode the face presets were at decent in Dragon Age Origins but they where garbage in Dragon Age 2.

Bioware if you can't for some reason or another create a exceptional creation mode cough "Saints Row" cough then I say go back to the way you did KOTOR Give us at least a dozen of really well done Face presets and In my opinion that would be better than some poorly done Creation feature.

1) Never say "as a fan" and similar, it means bull**** when it's translated. No one is going to take your arguments seriously if you present yourself of a biased mind.

2) Mass Effects Character Creator was fine, I made at least half a dusin custom made sheps of both genders that looked very nice.

3) Set presets are never better than what you can craft yourself, it's a design point that CC engages a lot of players. Personally I have never gotten into Witcher and Deus Ex because of the lack of character creator. But as I said, that's a personal preference.

I always support more freedom of expression in RPG's, switching the CC for a bunch of presets is the opposite of that.

I have bad news for you, you just suck at creating custom character, like me.

Dunno about you but I found my dragon age 2 characters to be especially attractive. You just have to know how to make a realistically proportioned face, given any starting preset. I'd post a photo but I'm in my iPad.

@9TailsFox
Well I don't suck at Creating Characters at least I don't think I do I rather enjoy My Mage Warden "Profile Photo" and In fact I really enjoy that as a feature in games it adds alot to the expierence in my opinion In fact I spend more time in the Creation mode then actuially playing the game's lol.

@Knight of Dane
I have made decent enough Male Shepards but as I said most of them still look bad compared to the Characters in game which is why I always end up using Sheploo because he looks like he Fits with the other characters.

@GaGaMonster
Don't get me wrong I always end up playing as a Custom Hawke in Dragon Age 2 because I hate The Male Default Hawke "That Beard " If Bioware would have given us the option to modify the default Hawke I would have used it more often.

All in all I just want a Creation mode that will allow the creation of amazing Characters that's all no more no less.

Changing default M!Hawke's face is actually kind of awkward -- just throwing that out there. F!Hawke's original face is nice and malleable, but Garrett just has this bizarre facial build and it doesn't appreciate any amount of tweaking.
Modding allows you to edit both, but it doesn't change the fact that it wasn't meant to be edited.

Personally I rarely made a character that I loved in any of the Bioware games. Modding was the only way I could do it, which is fine for my PC but not for my PS3. My hope would be for more variety (hair styles, facial hair, scars, jewelry) but its not a biggie. I would love to have the ability to tweak the features of my companions. That would be cool.

You being bad at using the character creator is not the same as it being bad.

Creators can always be better, as anything else; nothing is perfect, ever. Have you tried the one from Dragon's Dogma?

The only thing that bothers me about presets is that certain mouth and nose shapes in DA2 were tied to certain presets. This irritated me to no end, and still does every time I create a new DA2 character. All eyes, noses, mouths, and hairs should be available!

Yes I have tried the Creation mode of Dragon's Dogma and it was ok I guess I am just saying that I don't need perfection I just want the ability to create better characters thats all.

You know I wonder if Bioware will add a feature simular to the Face Codes in Inquisition that would be kinda cool in my opinion anywayImage IPB

Another thing I hope Bioware brings back is the Black Emporium from Dragon Age 2 that way we will be able to change our Characters appearence at will.

I couldn't tell you how many times I had to restart my game because I saw something about my character that I didn't like but with the Emporium I didn't have to start all over so I hope they bring that back as well.

I am pleased with my guys in dragons dogma too - if they used that system that would be great - I like that you can adjust your  main pawn as well.

Dragon's Dogma is hands down the best CC out there! Even if you remove the astonishing number of ways you can adjust the entire body, just the face adjustments are remarkable and something DA:I hopefully shoots to emulate :)

I disagree, so far I have yet to see a CC that beats Sims 3's.

Dragon's Dogma does a lot right by providing a very wide variety of different preset options in all categories, on the other hand the find edetail editing is very lacking. For example, you can choose a head preset, adjust the size of it and such, but you cannot lower the cheekbones, make the cheeks less puffy or adjust any sort of level in the shape.

Eyes too, you have a lot of different eyes, but you can only just adjust the width, height and size of them, no rotation and no meter to adjust their depth.

All in all I think if Bioware did some shameless copying from that game and applied it with their own fine detail edits that they could make a marvel of a character creator.

Plus better textures. Dragon's Dogma's hair texture was horrible.

Character creation in ME was pretty cringe-worthy. My shep was a total dog-face no matter how hard I tried to gussy her up. Oh and the hairstyles in the ME series = blegh.

I always like new character creation options but I don't think previous ones have been that bad.

Frankly since BioWare is part of the EA family, i don't see why they can't appropriate use of the Sims character creator... now THAT is a great character creator. Of course, the greater realism in characters from ME or DA requires some texture changes, but otherwise, the models themselves are extremely customisable.

Admitting that you're expressing a personal preference tends to go better than pretending that someone hanging out on a BioWare forum is in anyway unbiased or objective when it comes to BioWare's games.

The best character creator I have seen was in Aion. The options in that game were extreme. I wish DAI could come up with something half as good...Pftt 1/8 as good...God... Just something better then what we have been given so far!

Lots of people, and probably the majority of the people on my "friend list" come here because BSN is a social network equally or as much as it is about Bioware's games. Coming here does not equal a bias towards Bioware at all, really.

If you come to the BSN for social contact 'equally or as much' as you do because of BioWare's games, that would still mean that the games are half the reason you come here. Did you mean that they're more interested in the social network aspect?

Whatever the case, I am not going to believe they're unbiased or that their opinion is more objective than a dyed-in-the-wool forum warrior.

I mean there are people here who genuinely have not played Bioware games in months but come on and chat with their friends or in RP groups or somesuch.

I'm not saying they're more objective per se, but their presence doesn't mean they're biased towards Bioware--just look at the place post-ME3.
