I turned 20 in January of this year. I'm starting to feel my age. The other day when I woke up, I rose out of my bed and my back cracked. I almost felt the need to cry out for help. When I was watching tv I saw an ad for "Life Alert". I thought to myself "Do I need this?" Ever since having gone through a midlife crisis at age 16, nothing has been the same.

I may start shopping around for life insurance policies.

You're an adult at 20? I'm 26 and I still act like a daft idiot. Far too many serious things to deal with in life to act like an adult, I've completed 2 degrees, I moved away from home at 18, worked part time while at uni, came back bounced about between Mexico and UK while overseeing a big property renovation which is still on going and need to find a new job, while juggling half a dozen investment portfolios.

Who wants to act like an adult when I've got all that to worry about! Naw, being daft is way more fun.

Anyone under 30 is still a kid to me. Like when I watch (american) football, 'hey, that kid is good', and he's 28.

I think turning 20 felt a bit weird for a moment, but overall was a bit of a non-event. Kind of worrying that the subsequent 25 years have passed an awful lot more quickly than the first 20 of my life.

The birthday that was the real bummer was my 30th when I decided I hadn't achieved enough of the standard life goals... even though I had actually achieved most of them. Fail, etc.

I've been 20 for the last three years.

What is 'grow up'?

How to adult?

After your early twenties, no birthday really means much until you hit retirement. What's more important than a specific date is what happens to your body as you age.

Yeah, I'll be 40 in a week. I didn't feel like an 'adult' until I hit my 30s, but I certainly don't feel old now.

I thank everything that is holy that there was no Facebook or social media in my 20s. Nobody can prove a thing.

Time to cart you off to a nursing home, old man. Bet you can't even feed yourself anymore, right?

Twenties were not that bad for me. They were far better than the teens and all those hormones and behaviour adjustments. That really sucked. I’ll be 31 in November and I'm feeling 22 and so is my wife while we dance around with our daughter and act out.

Wait till you hit 30. Then you'll feel old. I'll be 33 in 1 week. You notice changes in your body the most. You can't do the things you can do when you were 20. You're still a young pup with a whole life ahead of you. All my friends now have kids, wives, and jobs and I barely see them. Just chat with them on facebook from time to time. It sucks.

Just got to roll with the punches and find your own way.

I knew something about that seemed wrong.  Maybe he's using an iPad - mine replaces just about everything, and I don't find the mistakes until later...

At 20 it's was not that bad to be honest. 30 was much harder to swallow(33 now). Because of all that ''social'' pressure to be successful and you have a 10 years gap to compare yourselves to others .( That not healtly at all trust me)

But after a while you start to not give a **** and just live the life you want.

Can't remember what it was like to turn 20. Nothing memorable in the least.

Oh, and I could officially drink as much and whatever I wanted at 18. And unofficially at any time past 11 (a bad, bad idea yet a whole lot of memorable memories)...

Suicide by numbers is far more dramatic, though.
