Housing - Well, you aren't really settling down are you? You are wandering all over the damned word trying t stop the end f....everything. What possible use is a house? Housing is great for a 'I'm some random joe adventurer' game like the Elder Scrolls series, but doesn't logically fit in with DA at all.
People Interacting - I assume you mean wandering NPCs talking to each other? If so, sure, this always adds to immersion.
Unique Armours - There...are...unique armours?
What we want for the next sequel of DOA

As for all the people screaming OMG NO MMOS, I would like an optional multiplayer, but more along the lines of Baldurs gate, able to be done online, and where each person creates their own character, and you can have a completely valid storyline as such.. Again, optional, but it would be nice to play with friends.

hmm less origins. id prefer 2-3 really fleshed out origins than 6 minor ones.

As for origins. More impact on story please!!!! Not just some alternate dialogue or one minor difference in a quest. I wanna see true racism against elves here!!!! And no more stupid forced underpowered party member segments, I.E. Ishal, Kokari, etc.

The same amount of player character involvement in quests and choices in dialogue, if not more so. The rest is just icing. Possibly more involved side quests akin to what was found in Baldur's Gate II.
I've been pretty pleased with the loot honestly, I don't know what people were expecting. A few bosses have some trashy stuff but for the most part there is some sweet loot to find in this game, especially a particular shield you get later on.

More abilities, armor, wepons, magic. More everything.
Oh, and i want to see one of those three headed monsters that there were statues of in some plaves like Willhelms cellar in Honnleath(where you get Shale if you have that DLC).

I'm suprised how loving fans can find so much to "fix" about DA:O.
I loved this game so much, and would be happy just having more titles in the series. I'd love to see a continuation of what we started in Origins however, as I'd miss my character... i'd miss Zevran...Alistair, and the others... and i'll always will wonder what became of Morrigan...
MMORPG..? no thank you. I already play FFXI, and I enjoy DA:O as a single-player story-driven RPG.

Maybe a woman elf romanciable companion like katriel
Maybe being able to go to the black city if they continue the warden/ blight storyline

No multiplayer please. Except maybe a (very) simple 4v4 system so i can show friends how much better my party is than theirs. Thatd be fun.
One of the main things that needs improvement is equipment variety imo. Interesting and different looking equipment is an important part of character immersion for a lot of people. Starting with more light armours for rogues, the ones available are particularly boring... just imagine what could be done here.
Then mage gear, no more cone hats please. Warriors wearing massive armour are well catered for, everything else tho....
Please dont fundamentally change the game, it is perfect the way it is.

- Open world as in BG1: lots of areas to explore, where you don't necessarily have to follow a road between two hills (this has been a real killer in all solo RPG's since KOTOR). A few quests here and there to make said areas interesting for people who don't like to explore for the sake of exploring.
- Better loot distribution. There are a few orange bosses that sometimes don't loot anything (Fade Beast from the Asunder quest), which suck. There are a few bosses that have randomized loot, which is completely retard in a solo game. The best items shouldn't be bought in some store, but looted. At the moment it's not the case, and it's a big fail.
- 1 or 2 more team member slots would be nice, though accessory I guess.
- Despite all the hype about them, romances are terribad. Nowhere near as good as the one in BG2 or Safiya (NWN2 MotB). You can lay most characters 10 minutes after they've joined you. Get rid of them altogether or improve them.
- The class system is pretty bad too. Only three classes? Check. Two being almost the same? Check. Some specializations utterly useless while some are completely broken? Check. No eye-candy difference between most specilizations? Check.
I know you can't reuse D&D class system, but DA deserves better than what it's gotten so far on this department. There's a reason why mods that adds new classes are so popular in NWN2. People like variety and DA got none.
- Decide whether you want your game to be funny and light hearted or dark and gritty. Right now, the general background is dark and gritty, but since most of the dialogues are meant to be funny (as in jokes people in their 20's would do), the dark and gritty part kind of doesn't show. At all. I wouldn't mind it being light hearted and funny, but it can't be both, for it ends being neither one nor the other.

1. Moar Zevran (this is the most important, all other considerations are secondary)
* Ability to toggle on and off helms
* Less mage robes (I get that it's traditional for casters to wear robes but I have to wonder - why? It doesn't seem at all practical to me)
* If Dog returns, more interesting and perhaps colorful Kaddis, and make him bark less
* A better variety of party members (I felt flooded with warrior types) so your choices feel slightly more tactical than aesthetic
* A better character creation system (I hate that I cannot template a look for a character and then use it as a different class, it starts the whole process over again)
* Open world would be nice

I think all of these suggestions are just silly for the next DOA, as the thread title asks.
Now, if we were talking abut DAO, that would be different, but I really don't think most of these ideas apply to the Dead or Alive franchise at ALL.

There should be Sloth Of Doom action figures hidden in the sequel, they should be grenadelike weapons that will say cheesy lines upon explosion and there should be red splatter everywhere cover the entire screen in gore for the rest of the game so it will be harder to see what happens in the game.

Imo there's no better time for humour than when it's dark and gritty? Certain TV shows (The Bill comes to mind) really annoy me due to their utter lack of humour when everything seems bleak. Come on guys, surely there's a wag at the cop shop who could fire off the odd one-liner once in awhile to lighten the mood, and for Pete's sake, turn a light on.
Also, Bill Shake Spear (sic) managed to combine comedy and tragedy. albeit he had to please a mixed audience; The one enhanced the other - no darkness without light etc...Macbeth is the exception, and is possibly my favourite Shakespeare play because of it's unrelentling slide towards a grizzly end, so what am I saying? That both structures can be powerful I suppose if handled well.
Back to something a little more mundane. More magic rings please (not necessarily very powerful ones). At the end of 2 play-throughs, I've still had empty ring slots on some companions. Warriors seem to be particularly overlooked in this regard. Overall the loot in chests was pretty lacklustre, but this has been mentioned by myself and others in a number of threads already.
btw, Johook213, I think most ppl are not suggesting "fixes", just improvements, and don't feel obliged to preface every post with "I really loved DA:O, but..." (I take it as a given) If someone feels that the game gets 10 out of 10 in every department, then actually I'm a little envious ../../../images/forum/emoticons/sick.png

Having the option to 1) save all the action to an engine-specific video format and 2) replay it at the real time rate with NO pauses.
Imagine watching your decisions play out at a REAL kickass speed.
Like all your party acting and reacting with human-like synergy, wit, and reflexes!!
You get to push "play" and watch all the spells you cast and all the blows you delivered and all the finesse!!
And why not fast-forwarding, rewinding, etc.??
Many games have this feature and I imagine it would totally rock if applied to DA:O.
Also I think it might make the game more appealing to the many people who don't like the whole idea of pausing.

Well... I like to throw away this Grey Warden thing as someone already suggested... I dont want to be the good guy all time... more choices in the main storyline regarding good/evil... like in Jade Empire or SW:KOTOR.
Second thing is armor... it just looks too good. When I saw trailer, I didnt like it because the armor was just... ooooooh, shiny, big, unrealistic. In game it looked much better than trailer, but I still think its too much. I dont know if someone really would be able to move in some kind of armor presented in the game. To put it short, less fluff regarding heavy armor. Light armor (leather and such) is fine.

Darkspawn origin. Apparently the expac is introducing "intelligent"-type darkspawn so maybe we could have an origin of one.

sure its been said, but built in co-op would be awesome, playing with two main characters and a party member of each persons choosing, or even making it with two full partys LOL, but playing with two people would be sweet, just like when you have an MMO buddy you do all your quests with
also.............. if you make a game with dual class specing you should be able to pick any class from any general spec, example if you start as a warrior general class then you have to spec first in one of the warrior classes, but you should be able to spec as a mage class for your second one, and just have mana and stamina, ( like in fable) then we could customize our own classes at least thats how you should be able to play the main, cause a full party of hybrids like that would be OP

I think definitely be able to enchant armor and other items as well as weapons wpould be nice. Also, not much choice of mage party members. A healer or an emo girl whose first specialization is entirely useless. She can't function as a tank very well cuz you wouldnt be able to get her as an arcane warrior until level 14.
