- Storage space. Whether it's in camp or if they allow you to buy a hide-out/home, there needs to be some place to keep things you really rather not ditch. Also like they are going to be doing in ME2, it would be nice to have a 'trophy case'. It just makes the game feel really personal when they add touches like that.
- I'd also like to see a few more unique characters like Shale.
- More Races: Kinda straight forward. We already know about the Qunaari and I'm sure there are others out there.

Please make more items, that look and feel different. So that there will be a good choice of all types of weapon and armor for any classes. Because currently it all ends up in one cool item/class that you can obtain early in the middle of the game. And have to give old armor/weapon to another char of same class.
Maybe its just me, but soon after Ostagard I stoped using basic armors that I find because they were too weak against unique ones. Thats all cool but it was way too early for me in the game to stop looking for new items.

And items icons. They all look the same so your inventory looks bland and uninviting. There is a mod that fixes this but its not complete.
And BG2 like quests. Get rid of those collective, the mercenary group quests, and the other similar quests. The Chantry board is ok i guess. But that is enough!
One more thing.. Chain quests!!!

- Decide whether you want your game to be funny and light hearted or dark and gritty. Right now, the general background is dark and gritty, but since most of the dialogues are meant to be funny (as in jokes people in their 20's would do), the dark and gritty part kind of doesn't show. At all. I wouldn't mind it being light hearted and funny, but it can't be both, for it ends being neither one nor the other.
I couldn't disagree more. I loved that DA:O had that great balance. I wouldn't want to give up either sides of that. I loved that it was a heavy game with important moral choices, sacrifices, and death. But I also loved that we got to have these bright spots in the game, especially between conversations with party members. I thought it struck a good balance. *shrug*
That's all fine and dandy, but there is a balance between having some humor among the darkness and gritiness, and having too much of it.
DA:O was advertised as being heavily influenced by Martin's A Game of Throne. Well, Martin does a good job at introducing humor in his books, while keeping them serious and dark. Because yeah, there's not much of it. A cynical joke every once and a while, a funny detail here and there... That's pretty okay with me.
DA:O on the other hand goes for the "all characters are funny" line. Every banter is supposed to be funny. So are most dialogues options with companions and other NPC's alike. In the end, you have a hard time finding the world dark and gritty. And the so-called "important moral choices" (which in fact just follow the lines of Good cop/Bad cop) don't really help with it.
All in all, DA:O world isn't dark, serious, gritty, impressive or saddening at all. Playing DA:O feels like spending a few hours with some law students.

We won't see a sequel for at least another year and a half. Though, we might see other "Dragon Age" games, that are not part of the "Origins" series. And no, those other Dragon Age games might not be RPG's either.

Nightmare setting that truely is a nightmare to play...
more hairstyles... and beard type stuff in creation...
more and better random npcs ... you got admit it gets old fast when you keep running into the same npc models in game
Have to agree with more hairstyles, possibly more colours for hair. More random "ambushes" out in the Thedas world, think I've exhausted every one of them so far, would be nice to have new ones.
Change of loot in the chests, "unlock chest" ...what? A single elfroot? Who would lock a single elfroot in a chest? lol If its locked it should have say...I dunno at least 5?

Otherwise I loved the game, the second one really needs more twists, characters of different races (female quanari, female elves and dwarves, male mages werewolves, new races (from unknown lands?), new lands (more dessert and snow would be nice, and more alien looking environments (darkspawn infested forrests?) would be nice.
I think i'd prefer it if the game was set in Ferrelden again, maybe as the hub world, but you would tour to Orlais and the Anderfels and wherever the quanari live, maybe in order to recruit allies for another darkspawn threat?
The graphics need a massive revamp, altough considering the engine I was quite impressed with how the game looked. Those sex scenes need to be changed aswell.
Horses? It could work, maybe the MAKO of DAO, but actually enjoyable to use, maybe like Assasins creed horses.... but being a party game i'm not sure how it could work. Still it would enable the world to become much larger.
Voices? Not sure on this one. Alot of people prefer it without and I think it's good that Bioware presents a very different RPG to Mass effect. It also is alot of work... but it would help with the immersion alot.
More expression with the PC is a must though (rather than just not reacting to anything).
I think the menu and all that needs a revamp, expecially the codex. I really got into ME's one but for DAO not so much. Maybe it needs a voice over? At least pictures would really help.
Seeing the results of your actions is a must aswell, rather than them jest being apparent in the epilogue.
If the videos/ cutscenes were viewable from the main menu that would be cool.
Story wise i'd love for the main game to be set in a hundred years ago. Maybe they've discovered new lands, maybe they've experimented with using guns? Seeing the world you helped change evolve would be awesome.
I also thought the character side missions were a bit dry. If they could be branched out a biut, for example, if an assasin is stalking my love interest, it would add much more effect if for the next few places I travelled I was stalked, and instead of just walking into a house, if I approached them in their secret fotress.
These missions took like five minutes, sure some like Oghrens were enjoyable but in order to be effective, I felt like they had to be longer.
I'll give an examples of wynnes (SPOILERS):
Starting it the quest was pretty promosing, but then the elf that should have held a grudge for all of this time basically says "Nah it's cool" and the quest ends. Nothing was learned and all that changed about Wynne is that she felt a little less guiltly. It was very anti climatic. These friends/ relatives should come back in the epilogue aswell.
And that's about it for now.

No MMO/multiplayer please and no housing. This is a travelling party, why would they need a house? Plus camp is great for bonding with your party members, thus becoming more invested in the characters. It's very rare these days for me to actually care about video game characters, but DA managed it in spades. I'd say just improve on what you already have please. It's already a masterpiece, so keep it going.

THIS MAN SPEAKS WISE WORDS!!!!
the greatest of games always come to an end because they get rediculous on what they add and such, people always say omfg world of warcraft is so great! personally i was playing within the first month of it coming out the first 5 months of that was the best gaming experience i ever had and they ruined it with all that stupid **** like BC and WOTLK i personally think they should improve on what they have

- When wearing a helmet and you enter a conversation/cinematic it stays on your head and it doesn't disappear (this was the only reason I didn't wear a helmet )
- A base, maybe a refurbished Warden's Keep?
- The PC is the first from the first game (if you survived)
- Armor/Weapons you finished the final battle in carries over to the next game/expansion
- Oghren!
- No Multiplayer, keep it Single player like the Mass Effect, KotOR, and the first game
- Griffons? I know that its unlikely but I can dream

less brown
romances between NPC's (Make morrigan and alistair get lost on the deep roads for a week and they'll start dry-humping each other, any talk between a man and a woman IRL that goes the way those two did, ends in the 'ole in and out 99% of the time)
tactics thast work at all (If I disable all tactics why Wynne keeps casting spells at random and drinking potions?)
Horses!
more qunari models and lore (fighting Sten's clones was like picking red Zangief vs blue Zangief in SFII)
Use DirectX11 features for PC
Get rid of the generic missions (get mushrooms for this guild, collect 20 potions for the other guild)
non-ridiculous helmets
non-ridiculous armor colors. It's OK an armor is made of red steel or veridium, but please don't make the armors actually RED or GREEN, it's like going to a comic-con and seeing pople with cardboard homemade armors.
Dog shouldn't count as party member, it's your pet and he walks with you always, make him less powerful but allolw him to be like a wizards familiar. And give him some dog armor btw.
Shorter and more intense dungeons. six or seven rooms where every encounter is meaningful and difficult, where the terrain counts for tactics and enemy position and class forces you to try new things, getting away from the mecanics of "enter room-use aggro with tank-cast crowd control with mage-heal tank-use 2-hander and rogue to flank-repeat till done and collect loot", and that's it.
oh, and auto loot option.

Better character creation options (Hair, more in depth figure creation etc.)
Multi class (Mage/warrior etc.)
More playable races
Choice to NOT be a greywarden
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO MMOs!!!!!!!!!
Being evil has more benefits
More non-warrior party members, or at least be able to multiclass them
