Yes, that would be great. It would be even better, if your companions would abandon you, if you do things, which are just the opposite of their personality. Just like in Baldur's Gate, if you have done too much good things, the evil character said "f*** you, I'm not traveling with a saint".hero 2 wrote...
I would like hard choices. Incompatible teammates who won't both join at the same time - you have to choose one and not the other.

Actually, that is a really good idea, but...
It requires a *heck* of a a lot of characters, which BG and BG2 had.
Kotor and ME did not... it requires too much programming, so they go with the magic number 9.
If this happened with the current generation of games, we would be left with 4-5 good characters and 4-5 bad ones, leaving *every* party to pretty much be composed of the same people...
Which is why I prefer the current system... You can still have bad people... in fact, I would certainly call Morrigan a morally ambiguous character.
Her choices are always going against the obvious morality, while Leliana and Alistair are much more vanilla.
And besides... there are plenty *more* moments in DA:O where your party will split and turn against you than in BG1 or 2.
I think almost everyone has a break condition... think Urn of Sacred Ashes.

Good idea that one.
Here are some other ideas:
*Don’t keep unlocked class specializations open for later play throughs, or at least make it optional to re-lock them. Or just have them all available at all times… As it is now however, they remove incentive to make certain plot-critical decisions.
Improved traveling, don’t force the player to run through several already explored areas in order to reach her/his goal.
I don’t know much about game rules and scaling, however I generally don’t like the idea of scaling enemies/armor. Arcanum and Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines are great RPGs. They don’t have scaling, do they? (Also, I don’t like it when my mage’s staff, which is clearly made out of wood, somehow consists of metal or dragon bone.)
Provide visual feedback when equipping mages with shoes and gloves.
Release everything simultaneously (not that I didn’t get a whole game
this time, just dislike dlcs, I want it all on the disc). But do feel
free to make an expansion later.
That's all I can think...

I don't want to see:
Open world: We really dont want another lets romp around aimlessly type game, it would dilute the story to much plus focus can be easily lost from the plot of the game, as the game stands right now is fine
.
On-Line: From what I seen of online based games is the story content gets seriously cut down so they can focus on the online aspect, and again this is not what DA:Os is about.
What I would love to see:
Improved body physics: Okay I admit it, breast physics to
More Adult Content: I loved that the did cater more for a more adult audience, and for me this was a major plus card in ackowledging the more adult role players out there. YES WE DO EXIST!!! Plus it enriched the story, making the characters more believable. I feel adding to this will add more depth to the plots as well as furthering the moral choices a player has to make.
Day/Night Transitions: I know someone mentioned this before, and I love that idea. Not that it is new, there was a rp back on the old first gen pentiums that also had this feature. One idea I loved about that game and would love to see on this game was it did effect certain characters. Think about it, rogues would have improved abilities because of their training to use night time and dark enviroments. Characters who have a more darker alignment would also be able to utilize the night enviroment. Also creatures that would be more likely to roam at night or dark enviroments would further add to the atmosphere to the game.
Increased number of characters in a party. The 4 character limit is pretty old hat these days in any rp.
Increase the classes of characters as well as half classed types.
Incamp I would of love to see the ability to store items as a standard, I know there is a mod that currently exists that gives you a storage chest. Just I found it more annoying then lugging around items to which I have no use for till later on in the game caused me to reduce my inventory space.
Armour type: More types of clothing and armour for rogue and mage classes that is more suitable for that class of character. But I would also like to see more different types of clothing available instead of the drab selection we had.
I also feel the trade system needs work, as at times it seemed unfair that so little was available at such a high price at times. Maybe also implementing more different types of shops like for armour, mages etc. Also maybe black smiths being a standard, this way if you collect the correct metals, and parts you could get them to craft you weapons to spec, or special crafted armour pending on skill levels.
Any way for whats its worth this is what I would love to see, though I did love the game as it was.

- Awesome story with interesting and compelling characters and plot, Bioware always do this well though so it's a given.
- Same interface; it's intuitive and user friendly, one of the best I've seen in a game
- Same gameplay mechanics; all great, the way quest npcs are shown, the shared inventory, the way the character and skill sheets are layed out, the buff system - it's all great.
What I'd like to see in a sequel (i.e. what can be improved)
- better camera; should be able to zoom out further, shouldn't have to go into first person just to see who's hitting me from offscreen.
- random item/loot generation; something similar to Diablo 2.
- respawning monsters and the ability to replay the game as a higher level (like D2's nightmare and hell difficulties) where enemies scale to the level of your char.
- Some sort of online mode; something like NWN where people could create their own worlds and/or host their own servers would be nice.
- more than 10 hotkeys, should be able to assign every key on the keyboard to different spells if I want to
- more character specialization options.

Well in regards to story, Id like the plot to take place maybe 100>200 years after the current Dragon Age storyline.
Id like the stoy to be in the Anderfels. Weisshaupt Fortress and all.
I want to see Kal Sharok. Instead of the Archdemon being freed, you find out that the darkspawn have found Razikale underground and its your job to reach and slay him before the Darkspawn get to him. More than one central darkspawn villian too. A better storyline. A better dwarf storyline too. I want different origins if they appear not to cross paths so readily, different dialogues so if you get to play as a different race you don't say the same things over and over again. Your main character to speak but you get to choose which voice they use.
No generic lone hero is betrayed and sets off to save the world with a bunch of weird companions. If Im going dragon hunting I want an army at my back and my front. Being able to control more than 4-6 charcters at the same time (more like 20). You get to play as a Grey Warden Commander or sub-commander and your main camp is filled with loads of other grey warden warriors. Some proper timescale and limits to the map so you don't just cross the entire country in 10 seconds. Being able to wade through water and not have it as a barrier except if its really deep and you have armour on. Fighting alongside other heroes and not rogues. Less emotional
conundrums and more practical ones such as where to send the troops and what wepaons your soldiers should be equiiped with. Feeling like you are getting to grips with the job at hand and not being asked to collect some flowers or going on utterly useless sidequests with no relevance to your main one. Better spells and their usage. Animate Dead for example, not just being able to animate humanoid forms, but bears, dragons etc.
More variety of darkspawn (darkspawn drakes for example). Grey Wardens riding bears ands griifins

NWN had such a great potential and I really hoped DAO would swing into the same direction.
Just naming a game "Dragon-something" doesn't make a great world and game...
I'll have to wait for an all different game ...

Eight pages of people asking for a *completely* different type of game...
Some want a MMORPG, some are even suggesting a tactical strategy game...
Way to really miss the point...
I mean, "I wanna I command whole armies online..."
wow, just wow.
For DA:O2, most of all... I want the designers to ignore this thread!

I'd ask for the designers to ignore you, because your not allowing people to voice their own opinions and preferences. Hey its not like they can do most of the things people are suggesting anyway.

More Discrimination.
I'm playing as a Dalish. In the origin story, I get to express quite a negative opinion about humans.. but from then on, most of the dialogue options seem quite generic (ok I know there are some - kudos for actually writing dialogue loops that acknowledge the PC is an elf). So both PC and NPC dialogue options should allow discriminatory attitudes.
The world seems quite a racist place - humans treat elves as slaves or vermin - so taking a PC elf into this world should be difficult. I should be having to use persuade or intimidate a lot of the time just to get people to listen to me. Likewise, go to visit the Dalish with a human PC and find it quite a challenge just to avoid getting stuck with arrows.
I recognise that this might detract from the fun, and might make some quests difficult to pick up and/or complete, and some careful balancing would be needed.. and I also recognise I'm asking for considerably more dialogue to be written... but this game is for a Mature audience... make the roleplaying that much more gritty.

As to calzier suggestion that would be interesting, as I said it needs more darker adult content and this could easly add to that. As there is not many games I can name that does that, in most RPG's elfs are usually moralistic wise heros that the humans look to. So it would be interesting to see the story from the elfs point of view when dealing with typical negative human responses. In short why should the player as an elf want to save someone who may be responsible for raping or placing their race into slavery? Does the elf take his/her revenge from using their new status as champion to act out the same misjustice on other humans?
I dont feel that would lessen the fun at all, as calzier said this is for mostly a mature audience and this would certainly deepen the emotional and moral decisions made by the player. I did feel myself as playing a female elf from the city that though at times my player was questioned not only as a warden cause of her elf origins but also because of her sexuality this could of been taken further then it had been in the game.

Moving the setting from Ferelden to somewhere more exotic is a big one.
More interesting combat encounters/varied enemies
If we're still going the Grey Warden route, at least have us sense the damn darkspawn in a tangible, gameplay way.

More material tiers for weapons and armor.
I want to see the Black City.
I also want to see a griffon and the old companions so i can take Shale along to see a Griffon.
Griffon: "looks curiously at team"
Shale(whispering): "noooo"
