The fact that many classes use grenades nowadays, the  possible sparse outcome in terms of grenade replenishment in ammo boxes (e.g. condor or glacier) together with the fact that the drelldept really needs a lot of them in my view is limiting the fun to play this kit somewhat.

Other grenade classes especially TGI, AIU destroyer but even kits like the krogan sentinel can get along with
fewer.

At least for me it is a reason to switch to another kit if I see other grenade classes in the lobby.

Thermal clip packs? Everyone has enough grenades if people would just use those damn packs.

Hazard Dagger on Platinum

Even more reason to use those packs -> i always run out of ammo and won't get any from those stupid boxes... But i get what you mean. There are maps where 4 greneade throwers just won't work.  For me it just means 6 thermal clip packs used and careful grenade "spamming" :D

Lag.

Seriously playing the Drell Adept off host is like gambling.
I'd rather use the MQE if I wanted to spam a power+nade, with much better survivability and less lag hindrance.

On host...others have already answered this (lack of Grenade gear, squishiness...)

tc/op...the classes you mentioned have always been uncommon to rare. who wants to play squishy characters when you got beefy ones that offer little challenge?

<<<<<<-------guy does!!!

Did a game with equally ammo hungry friends and had that map with my harrier Drell adept.  I had to use my harrier as a single shot rifle.  NEVER AGAIN.

Totally agree. I've joined some games with terrible lag as a DA.  Situations like grenades takes 2 seconds to toss,  sometimes grenades didn't get toss at all.  I mean you really have to work hard to get the grenades to land on your targets with bad lag.  Also, to compound the problem is using weapons like the harrier.  The ammo counter goes crazy and sometimes you reload the weapon but it only has 10 rounds in the magazine.

I suffer from lag with varying degrees most games, and can't say I've had issues playing him. Are you talking about issues with the powers, or staying alive only?

Batarian Slasher is much better especially with incendiary ammo.

Just for lulz, shoot a ravager with Incendiary then cast Warp on a brutes then throw cluster.
Fire explosion + biotic explosion

Tech =/= Ceberus,Geth
Biotic =/= Reapers, Collector

subjective opinion is subjective.

Drell Adept is a much better hit a run platform with better CC abilities.
Bat Slasher is a better weapons platform with the ability to exploit Incendiary glitch (in exchange for not gaining dat massive warp ammo deeps).

different strokes for different folks.

Maybe people just don't like their playstyle. I know I don't.

"Hit & Run" < "Stand and Fight"

At least for me, anyway. Since BSN's opinions vary wildly from the general public, I'd wager that many more feel this way. Or at least don't care for Drell.

Oh, and please don't mistake my mentality for the terrible Puggernaut's "Get rich or die tryiiiiiin'" mentality. The two are totally different.

just prefer Warp which can Prime/Detonated/Debuff.

Plus much more health so he can take a Banshees Warp ball to the face while continning to shoot. Tough luck when playing the Geth which gives no DR from Reave.

But it depends on style, when im playing Bat adept i usually go for Scions, Preatorians,, Brutes Ravager and so on.

The Drell is much better with infantry trooper, Marauders, Centurion etc.
The Drell is very good when playing together with a good N7 Fury. dat Reave Throw combo

Reave can do two of the things mentioned in a three meter radius with the appropriate spec.
Batarian may have the better Health/Shield, but the Drell has far superior mobility essentially giving him the survivability which he lacks with Health/Shields.

Also not sure about that. I thought reave just gives DR with whatever you hit?

Drell can shred bosses and enemies alike lol.

Reave gives DR whenever you hit something with it, be it Geth or not.

I would rather have a pug jug than a pug drell. Pugs just don't know how to stay alive with the drell. It's like 'damage reduction' isn't self explanatory enough.

Unfortunately too squishy when playing Gold or Plat, unless you play with friends and can rely on support and revives. Cant rely on PUGs to compliment this characters fragility on the harder settings. If you're going to pug it with a drelldept then you'd better stay very close to a friendly the whole time, which is 0 fun.

Without wishing to sound like a douchebag, this sounds like you don't really know how to play him.

No worries, havent taken offense. I realise he's got huge detonation potential and can somersault his way outta most issues but it's all too easy to catch that unexpected ravager blast. That'll pretty much end you on gold, particularly if you dont spec fitness...

Of course...if you see it coming, and I'd use a Wraith or Crusader but each to his own bud ;). We've all been rear ended by a ravager blast if we're honest now right. Thats the only pitfall I was trying to elaborate on with Drelly, glass canon.

Yeah like you're saying he is a total glass cannon although I don't see the point of speccing into pull, it's useless in the hit n run combat imo. For me it's Reave to stagger, optionally clusterfck nade and shoot, then move onto the next mook and repeat...Although I am really picky when it comes to the enemies(goes to any kit I'm playing), when most of people take care of big enemies I go for the lesser ones, and we're talking gold and plat

btw funny as the op mentioned AssGuard, I started playing her just yesterday and already owned 3 pugs
