Why is the Drell Adept so uncommon in pug lobbies now?

No worries, havent taken offense. I realise he's got huge detonation potential and can somersault his way outta most issues but it's all too easy to catch that unexpected ravager blast. That'll pretty much end you on gold, particularly if you dont spec fitness...

I see others have tried to explain what you might want to improve when you play him, but... Here's a very important point in my opinion: dead enemies can't shoot. Kill them before they can fire, and they won't fire ;)

Oh and... Spec into fitness, dammit!

About the lag argument... The only moment in which I really suffer from lag as a Drelldept is when clusters start not to go off. From there to become a not absurdly powerful character, though, there's a very big gap of lag left...

Ravager blasts?

I can bob and weave between Ravager blasts and dance with a few Brutes at the same time. I'm too damn fast to be bothered with Ravager blasts. Swarmers on the other hand are a PITA.

Yeah swarmers are the bane of the Drelldept... Those little bastards! :(

there isn't any mystery with pugs it just comes down to health and shields plain and simple a pug needs to be able to take a few more hits to be not dying every couple of seconds and therefore enjoying themselves a little more

Dunno....I'd guess most simply can't stay alive with him. Constantly humping the floor and he's too fast are the two most common explanations I've been told in all my experience playing this game. Drell are easily my favorite characters though...

The most played class (juggernaut) only has a 7-8% chance of showing up on a lobby. So, a little perspective is needed here.

My big beef of late has been the balk pitch I get more often recently (as in I try and throw the nade, go through the throwing motion and no nade is thrown.) That seems to happen a lot more than it used to.

12% on gold and plat and more than double than the next played class.  That is very significant.

I consider him a precision class. Newbies have problems with him. Lag just exacerbates the situation.

BTW, there were some crazy bad laggy games over the weekend on PC, where playing any class would have been difficult. At times I couldn't shoot, or interact with the environment, etc... So those saying that lag doesn't affect them are full of ****.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that people don't now how to play said easy mode classes. Drelldept, assguard, drellfiltrator, GI are all kits I'd consider pretty easy mode, but they're not really that common in pugs I've noticed. I think it's because they are all, in one way or another, niche classes. Once you know how to play them, it's autopilot, but not a lot of people have the same understanding of the game as those of us who have been playing over a year. Or something like that.
