Now that we can fly around in real time wouldn't be cool if when you selected an orbit you have your sensor operator yell something out like "Unidentified ship, bearing 139, range 40,000 kilometers". You would then get to decide what to do, maybe run away, maybe charge in with your guns blazing, or perhaps you could go into silent running, creep up next to the target, and fire a salvo of missiles into the hull (oh yes! UBOAT status). I think it would add a lot to the game or maybe go into an expansion or something. I mean you’re a frigate flying around on the edges of Citadel space. I think it would be cool to make space less static like it was in the first game. Don’t get me wrong I love the FPSness in Mass Effect .but I think space combat should play as big a role in the Mass Effect Universe (not necessarily the game) as ground actions and what better way to implement that than to have random encounters in space. Anyone down for some wolfpack action against Batarian shipping?

I must say, that would be pretty cool. Perhaps some boarding action too.

As awesome as that would be, I doubt it will happen.

It'd be cool, but devs said no space combat in ME2
