I'm maxing out stamina regeneration to see if Battlemage draining aura sustainable is of any use or not,
so i have evons set, but looking at switching wades dragonscale gloves with 0.5 stamina regeneration,
and instead use stormchaser gloves with 2 stamina regeneration, a difference of 1.5 stamina regeneration.

Fatigue goes from 62 to 83, so does 1.5 extra stamina regeneration more than outweigh an extra 21 fatigue or not ?

Sure. In awakening, sure it does. Thanks to the insane bonuses to health and stamina/mana from skills, gear, runes & together with stamina replenishing abilities and potions, fatigue becomes more or less obsolete.

Thanks, so here is the best i have found so far,

Gear
5 reg Arms: Cailens arms or Avvar dagger set,
3 reg Amulet: Natures blessing
2 reg Belt: Andruils blessing
0.5 reg Helm: Longrunners cap
2 reg Glove: Stormchasers gauntlets
1 reg Chest: Evon the great
0.5 reg Boots: Wades SUP dragonscale

Skills
1 reg Fade shroud
0.5 reg Combat training 2
2 reg Attunement mage
_? reg Stoic battlemage, depend on injuries frequency, lower defense = better, from a mana regeneration PoV

Low mana
3.5 reg extra @<10% mana pool, i think

Feel free to correct & update with better gear, if any.

ed: it still wasnt enuff to run my fave stuff and add draining aura on top of it,
the only battlemage spells i find useful is stoic & hand of winter, tho that is OK

The spell drains 30 mana per enemy every 4 seconds, regardless of fatigue. Combat regen ticks every 2 seconds and you have about 15 regen there, so you could maintain the aura indefinitely only against one enemy. I'd say the ability looks bested suited for tanking a tough solo boss.

Of course, I'm not certain all of that gear provides mana regen. For example, andruil's blessing expressly states mana regen and stamina regen, but longrunners cap only states stamina regen so I'm not sure it is helping you at all.

The spell also seems incompatible with Shimmering Shield. Shimmering Shield not only has a mana regen penalty, the damage prevention reduces your regen from Stoic.

Yes, i see it similar, i was hoping to activate it once and for all under influence of wisp & might,
deactivate wisp & might and carry on with the walkthrough along with all other sustainables,
but alas, its only ever applicable vs a single giant monsters, with an eye on mana pool,
not particularly suited for a poor gamer like me.
At least for AW, mana=stamina, or Cailens arms would make no noticeable difference, but it does

Importing with Warden keep DLC, or other un-importable items:
When i imported from origins to awakening, dressed up in wardens commander armor &
ignacios dagger, i ended up with 95 armor in awakening, without even activate rock armor.
This lend me to believe that also Avernus Robe will permanently implement improved blood magic,
i.e 25% cheaper health spells, and similarly, the wicked oath & warden tower shield will each implement +1, for a total of +2 stamina regeneration permanently,
while dalish promise ring permanently implement +1 health regeneration,
shadow belt permanently increase melee crit with 3%, winters breath permanently add +15% cold dmg, as well as adding +7 spellpower & add 25% cold resist.
Downside is that fatigue is also permanently attached to the avatar,
adding some 30 fatigue permanently if importing with WCA
