Kaidan is NOT gay!Rauhel wrote...
No, I want them to leave it ambiguous so the reader/player can decide who/what Kaidan is attracted to. But please, go on misrepresenting me. Clearly we need you to constantly throw words in my mouth to get people to disagree with me since I'm not doing a good enough job of that on my own. I could point you to a place where you can get a great deal torches and pitch forks, if you'd like.Arcian wrote...
Have you read the OP? He wants BioWare to acknowledge his specific headcanon IN A COMIC.

He didn't in my game. Not once. This type of dituation is also in David Gaider's speech. Don't flirt with a male character, and they won't give you any reason to assume they are attracted to men. Don't talk about girls with Kaidan, and he won't mention liking them.Steelcan wrote...
It isn't an interpretation. Kaidan says flat out that he is attracted to women and asari in ME1. You cannot ignore that without it being headcanon.
My Shepard was gay, he didn't care to ask Kaidan for his opinion on ladies.
David Gaider writes for Dragon Age, not Mass Effect. What is true in Dragon Age is not necessarily true in Mass Effect, as both are written by two entirely different teams of writers.
As for Rahna not existing just because Kaidan didn't mention on her on your playthrough...sorry, but it doesn't work that way. There are plenty of personal details about characters you can miss if Shepard doesn't talk to them. That doesn't mean that those personality traits or backstories don't exist, it just means that Shepard never found out about them.
Also if you were to apply the flawed logic that anything not mentioned didn't happen, it also means that Kaidan was straight in Mass Effect 1 since there was also no mention of any interest in the same sex. Catch 22.
Honestly you're better off just accepting that Rahna existed and Kaidan was into her.

Wasn't a lot of evolution going on in Evolution if you know what I mean.
EDIT: I am giddily awaiting the release of Mass Effect: Electric Boogaloo myself.

Kaidan is bisexual, if you can't see that, headcanon away - but don't come in here and make a thread about your headcanon and expect people to let you walk all over them with it.

I believe he checks out Jacob. But you need to have cheated on him with Jacob in ME2, or something like that.PMC65 wrote...

It's certainly easier to make a case for heterosexuality than homosexuality, I agree, but I don't really take any such arguments to heart. It is what it is, and it matters even less.

I think there's a difference between this situation and, say, Leliana in Dragon Age, who can express interest for both men and women *in a single playthrough*, regardless of the Warden's gender.

I'm interested in people's opinions - what makes Kaidan bi for a player playing FemShep? I'm not trying to start anything, I'm genuinely curious, because the only argument I've ever seen is that you can also romance MShep with him - but MShep doesn't exist if you're playing FemShep. So what's the problem with calling him straight in that scenario?

True ... Just trying to lighten the mood here. How people roll in their game is fine with me. I headcanon that Chakwas ties up Adams in her room everynight. That saucy minx!

There is a universe that has a Spacer Shepard ... a colonist Shepard ... a male Shepard ... a female Shepard ... a Shepard with Liara .... a Shepard with Garrus ... and so on. I would think something only applies across the board when it is in all playthroughs. But I could be wrong ... and probably am. Not the first time and not the last.

You people are absolutely absurd. You insist on characterizing me as some entitled bully when all I want is to maintain the status-quo. Yes, I've read the 6,000 posts about the status-quo being 'Kaidan is bi.' I've already responded to that countless times. We disagree on how much is open to interpretation. There is nothing to be gained from bringing that up YET AGAIN. I'm dizzy from all the circles this discussion keeps going in.
I'm not posting in here anymore. You insist on painting me as some kind of gay Hitler that hates bisexuals. Stay classy, BSN.

Like I posted, I think he compliments Shepard's taste if she cheated on him with Jacob in ME2 (if I'm even remembering all this correctly). That indicates bisexuality, as opposed to simply leaving it up to interpretation.madzilla84 wrote...

You can disregard it, certainly, but I think you run the same risk as Rauhel here. I don't believe there's anything wrong with this specific interpretation, as long as you don't intend to deny others their own (or start to try to determine which one is more "correct").
That said, I imagine the comic won't do anything at all to invalidate your interpretation (that Kaidan is simply heterosexual), whereas it possibly could for some others.

Bioware addresses canon, not headcanon. You say you want to maintain the status quo (which is Kaidan being bi) but dismiss it simply because you don't like it.
