The science, math, and the ideologies presented in the game are so well polished and realistically crafted.
The architecture of different cultures is amazing and belivable, the geography of different planets is convincing and real, and the science of the universe is accurate and rarely strays into a more fantastic theme. Sure, there are times where the realism is questioned, such as the endings, biotics, and the entire mass effect mechanic, but almost everything else is accurate and believable when it comes to fact.
Is no one else impressed by the level of detail when it comes to the academics of the game?
I remember playing through the series and being so impressed and motivated that I read a few astrophysics and biology books.
Am I really the only one? I hear no one else talking about it.
Does anyone else appreciate the "culture" of the game?
