I liked Aveline and Varric for DA2 companions, but I agree with what most here are saying... The DA2 companions that you could romance pretty much sucked. Maybe "sucked" is too harsh a word. They just felt like really shallow people. In comparison to the companions from Origins. Origin's companions had layers. You got to know them, and you learned more and more about them as conversations and quests progressed. With Fenris and Anders, especially, right from the beginning you knew what kind of an ass they were because they were constantly shouting it from the rooftops.

Yeah, most of the DA2 companions were pretty memorable for how incredibly unlikable they were. Except of course for Varric and Aveline who were legit awesome.
