More or less every year, www.gamefaqs.com runs a character battle.
It's one big popularity contest, and this year's field is the biggest yet, featuring 243 contestants. Why am I here? Well, this larger field has allowed not just Commander Shepard, but three of the Mass Effect squadmates to sneak in - namely Garrus Vakarian, Mordin Solus and Urdnot Wrex.
Shepard has already won his first round match with relative ease, and faces a tough second-round match against Aerith (from Final Fantasy 7) and Tharja (Fire Emblem: Awakening). Tomorrow, however, Garrus is up against Sub-Zero of Mortal Kombat fame (as well as Frank West from Dead Rising). This will be a tough match for Garrus, and that's why I'm here, asking the Bioware Social Network, for help.
Mordin and Wrex are also in tough but winnable matches, against Epona (Link's horse, from the Legend of Zelda series) and Niko (from GTA 4). Wrex faces Pit, from Kid Icarus, and Final Fantasy IV's Cecil.
Garrus' match will last 12 hours and starts tomorrow at noon eastern. I really hope you guys will head over to www.gamefaqs.com to bring in the vote for him, and maybe tell your friends as well. I have a feeling Garrus will need all the help he can get!
(PS: Sorry if this is a bit spam-y for my first post. In my defence, I lurked here for a while during my playthrough of the ME trilogy!)
