I love the CSR - it's one of my favourite weapons actually. Stick on your Salarian Infiltrator and use Incendiary/AP/Disruptor ammo on it - then spec into Energy Drain (going for damage increases where you can) completely and partially into Proximity Mine; and obviously spec fully into Tactical Cloak with damage increases. Trust me - you will melt your way through pretty much everything on even Gold and Platinum.

Constantly spam Energy Drain on shielded enemies and enemies that can be paralysed temporarily by it and fire Proximity mines at armoured units followed by the CSR - Phantoms, Dragoons, Ravagers... you name it, they will go down surprisingly fast.

I completed the CSR challenge within a couple of Gold matches by using it like this on my SI.

Not speccing proxy mine to at least rank 5 was punishable by death in the empire.

Yep - so spec Proxy Mine to rank 5 and Fitness to rank 3.

Or just hope you get the points bug which allows you to fully spec everything

Use it like a Raptor with occasional full auto capability .. No I don't think the raptor sucks either (on cloak bonused SR inflitrators at least) ..

Can you really use different scope on CSR? I think I tried putting scope on this gun when it was released but it made no difference. Was this fixed at some point or maybe I just had a brainfart?

I'm fine with the range.  I just wish it had scope with a lower zoom.

IMO the CSR is one of the best sniper rifles in the whole game, since its high rate of fire takes full advantage of the incendiary ammo damage stacking bug.

With HVB and Piercing mod, the CSR will cut through walls like butter, which takes advantage of its inherent thermal scope. I love to run CSR on the Salarian infiltrator and its one of my favorite kit/weapon combos for platinum.

The main thing you need to learn with the CSR is rapid tap-tap-tap-tap-tap to prevent it from overheating.

Interesting guide, am currently trialing it on hunter mode less geth engineer on platinum for pew pew laserz
