Maybe you didn't use hunter mode. I'd kick for that. Plus, I think they were going for 34 minutes. What were they using?

Simply put you weren't camping the box with them so everything bad that happened to them was automatically your fault and in their eyes you were a noob try-hard... :)

How long did the match take?

About 35 minutes

So you running around the map trying to make the game faster really didn't make it go any faster at all? Maybe even a bit slower than had you stayed with your teammates?

Other then that, I don't know why they would kick you.

Edit* Kind of irrelevant tbh. He mentioned nothing about making the game faster. How is running around killing things don't make games faster? Camping in the box actually makes things slower. Rio is a big map and waiting for spawns to get in line of sight from the other side of the map would make the game even longer

How long would a box of shame game normally take? Assuming you have 4 muppets who refuse to leave the box then I would have thought that would take considerably longer than 35 minutes.

I suspect it was either to make room for a friend, or just a big ol' bag of sour grapes.

It is extremely rare to get kicked by the three after a game like this so wtf on them. The only thing I can think of is they didn't like you forcing the spawns on either side of the box.. U play the way you want but if you're going to camp the LZ side any ways why not go on the box side and at least be around the team toast some marshmellows with your javelin and tell reaper stories.. I really enjoy sniping on rio, but I do it from the midpoint and back towards the box to be around the team and not look like I'm lone wolfing it so much.

Box of shame usually takes 35+ minutes.

35 mins on Rio with 3 people camping isn't even that bad .. the 'box' of shame slows the game down considerably ...

I don't know how anyone can complain when finding a contributing player while PUGging Platinum. You are libel to get either a missile glitcher or a noob way, WAY over their head.

hehe .. I said 'box'

You just don't fit in with those sods.
Don't take it to heart that a bunch of buffoons couldn't fathom your intentions.
Standing in one spot  (in the open/midle of the map) does tend to come across as "Hey guys, look how great I am, you guys, are you looking? Check it out" but then again moving around comes off as "I MUST GO AND KILL. ALL THE THINGS. *Pant pant* BURN THE FLESH~ SALT THE WOUND!"
Some days it feels like a player cannot be cast in any good light.
(Don't even get me started on holding back so other players get off your back about being a ball hog.
"Wtf you're not pulling your weight"//"That person sucks" )
/Shrug. So why bother trying to be the 'nice guy'. Just do what you do & do it well.

I really don't see how staying in that box and waiting for the spawns to get in sight would make the game faster. I think my position in the middle was the perfect spot for javelin. That way I could simply turn 180 and back and have nearly perfect visual on the entire map. I tend to lead more often than follow and following the ways of pugs is a death sentence:mellow:

I don't like playing with rio campers either, but to be fair, it's a pub game and if they enjoy playing as such, then let it be. And it's also very likely they kicked you because you were taking away aggro and they were getting bored in their tent roasting marshmallows.

They onsisted of a puggernaut that only used heavy melee, TGI with a level 2 harrier, and I think an asari adept with a level 5 predator.

The same thing happened to me it was rio/reapers/platinum and I was using the salarian infiltrator with the wraith. One of the many reasons I don't play platinum and just stick to gold.

I don't know, I've never done the camping thing on that map and have never been in a match where people used the box. And I didn't mean that you would stay in the box with them (that would just be plain stupid and boring) but at least hang around them and kill things as they spawned up in the center. I guess that the randoms were not that good so that you had to do most of the work yourself, and even though enemies have to walk a bit to get into your line of sight you usually can't kill them fast enough by yourself to run out of targets.

You could always ask them why they decided to kick you instead of making a thread about it since this discussion can only be hypothetical.

unless they told you why they kicked you, then you have NO idea why they did so. maybe it was a joke, maybe they wanted to bring a friend in, maybe they were ashamed that they were terrible and you outplayed them, maybe they genuinely enjoy sitting in the rio box and you ruined their game style.

Don't talk to comprehension like that.  He and cain may have exchanged words in the past, but they are on speaking terms now.
