One of my ME3 FRIENDS who I enjoy playing with due to both her high skill level and in-game microphone commentary/conversation, will get stuck in attempting to join a game I'm hosting, and I always get stuck where she has invited me to join where she is the host/Leader.
The game gets stuck at the "Joining Game" screen, and will cause a lock up on my pc game, requiring I exit ME3 and disconnect Origin on the desktop screen.
Is this a known bug? Are there any remedies or fixes, other than playing through mutual ME3 Friends?

My friend and I used to run into this issue fairly regularly and both of us would restart the game and origin to fix it.

It has to do with your internet I think. I have that problem with half my origin fl..

It is hard to say what the real reason is. UPNP / port forwarding and all that automatic crap is supposed to allow people's hardware to communicate freely with one another, but sometimes it does not work correctly.
You might say "oh if I just manually forward the ports I will be ok," but that doesn't actually help much either.
There was another fix floating around that was to change the DNS servers that you use because the idea was that people were getting bad address info from them, but again this never helped me connect to anyone after trying various open DNS services.

Possible remedy:
1) Shift+F1 and open your friend's list (if possible).
2) Find a friend with an open game slot and select "join game".
3) This will send you to the character selection screen.
4) Click cancel (or exit -- iforget) and you will get dumped to the main ME3 menu.
Not ideal, but slightly better than just Alt-F4-ing the game.
