Can someone please help! First let me say I'm not good with computers, so assume any instructions will have to be for a computer illiterate person. I have downloaded and installed a digital copy of NWN2, for some reason my much newer gaming computer is running it with choppy graphics and a large amount of ruberbanding. If I restart my computer just before playing the game it (sometimes) works fine for about an hour or so. I really like the game, but can't really get into it with  this going on. Does anyone out there think they could help?

Well, the fact that it helps to restart the computer first indicates that part of it is due to the known timing issue, which you may find is also helped by using the NWN2 Client Extension (which I recommend using in any case).  The instructions on the download page are probably better for you than what I can give.

The reason a newer gaming computer doesn't run it particularly well is primarily because when the game was designed, the trend was toward faster CPU speeds, with only one CPU in the computer.  Since that trend did not continue, and we instead have gone to multiple CPUs, the speeds for each CPU may not be sufficient for the game's requirements.  There are other games of this time period that have a similar problem.

As for the rubber banding, it helps a lot to click on the ground to move instead of moving via the keyboard.

Thank you for the input, but I found out the problem was my fan was gummed up and causing heating issues. I replaced the fan and no more issue.
