It's reasonable to request Liara not coming to Shepard's cabin if you've been rude to her.
However, demanding that Liara not retrieve Shepard's body, not be a part of the ME 3 crew, and never speak to Shepard in ME 3 if you don't like her is utterly ridiculous.
Why? I can kick Allers of the Normandy, why not Liara?
No, but you have three chances to kill her<_<

Wait... that's not right.... You're saying the opposite of what is true for Tali.
I see, it's sarcasm!

. That is part of the basic plot to get events moving. The story would still work if Liara and Shepard didnt like each other. Motivation and friendship should not be forced onto a PC in a game like ME.David7204 wrote...

Very true. You can be so antagonistic that she cuts you off from dialogue completely (if you side with Jack). Liara never gets the hint.. way back in ME1. She's a sucker for punishment.

And it was, in our opinion, a failing on BW's part because of it.
That's too bad. As I said, you aren't going to like every story in every character. Maybe you should whine on that basis instead of the very ridiculous basis of 'No friendly character should exist in an RPG without my personal approval.'

Why would anyone need to be the Shadow Broker? Liara doesn't do anything important to the story in that role at any point in ME3. It makes one wonder why she was ever made to be the Shadow Broker at all (beyond "it sounded cool at the time").Teddie Sage wrote...

Liara is expendable. When we met Javik, we learnd that everything she new about the Protheans was a faux. Every technical role she has can be performed by either EDI or Tali.
My question would be: Would they want to fill her spot of the Shadow Broker? Tali? I don't think so. EDI? Well, she's a machine so she doesn't need to sleep that much, but being a Shadow Broker wouldn't give her satisfaction. She already has a role to do and it's to be the ship's AI and Joker's assistant.

Exactly. Versus no matter what you do, Liara is your friend. You aren't capable of being mean to her or treating her like crap. You aren't able to dictate your relationship with her. Everyone else is different, except her. And she's arguably the one person who I want to do it to most.

The whole SB plot was barely even used in ME3. They could have cut it completely, along with Liara.

It takes away from the RP part of RPG if you do that though. Just saying. Because it seems that most other RPG's in existence do that. That's why those games are better RPG's than Mass Effect.

The Shadow Broker extends his knowledge for other knowledges, which is the purpose of the former Shadow Broker, prior LotSB. Liara still uses her information bank for the Alliance and the Council members and since she has good relations everywhere, it's a good thing to have her around. If she wasn't alive, the Lair of the Shadow Broker could've been taken over by someone else, maybe Cerberus and then Shepard and his team would've been in deeper troubles with all this information going around. Liara is ready to get her hands dirty to protect her friends and doesn't seem like the one kind of person who will blackmail others. In a way, she's doing a service to those people by not being like the former Shadow Broker.

So you're going to have to come up with some justifiction for why Shepard allows her to be the Shadow Broker despite hating and distrusting her. And some reason for Liara saving the body despite Shepard treating her like crap. So good luck with that.
